“Don’t cry… Mate,” the guttural voice said again. Cassie looked up, right into her wolf mate’s eyes, as she felt him push her head up with his muzzle. The wolf licked his mate’s tears away, unconcerned about anything but his mate’s well-being.
Cassie fell into a trance as the wolf licked her tears. She couldn’t believe her mate was so gentle and loving… more so than he was in his human form. It was probably stupid, and she’d lost her marbles, but her gut told her that the voice she just heard was her wolf mate’s.
