Remy was parading around her room, and I sat on the couch, watching the lady who had her palms on her waist. She flung her body around with force, her brows creased, “What do you mean his family visited? They never did in his two years of dating you, and now they did, and he is hiding you from them…” “You're taking it too far. Do you know why they visited? And I also planned to stay the night.” “So why did he hide it from you? He doesn't want you meeting his family members?” her voice came again, louder this time. I sighed and stood up from the couch. “Remy, I understand your concern, but I shouldn't be thinking of that for now. Maybe he doesn't want me to meet his family yet, and it wouldn't be so bad.” “Yet he knows your family. Can you even hear yourself?” she retorted, sounding so pissed. I had nothing much to say and just walked to the wall where I leaned. “Can we talk about me right now? I'll try to hear from him later.” She was trying to make me understand that my boyfriend should even be the person trying to help me at this time, and so if I refused, it would be understandable. But he ditched me, claiming his family came around and hadn't called back to know what was going on with me. Somehow, Remy was making sense, and I would bring it up to Deacon. He knew my family, but I didn't know his, and I hadn't thought about it until now. I visited him once or twice a month, and it was always memorable each time. “Okay, I beseech you to tell me everything that transpired between you and your family,” Remy said, grabbing a seat on the couch I had just left. “Funny enough, I just left there worried about you, and this happened. Did they hear us? You mentioned they weren't around when I came.” I nodded, “I was making dinner when they returned.” “And the first thing they did was kick you out?” I chuckled and began walking back to sit with her. I narrated to her everything that occurred, and before I was done, she had already turned red. “How dare they?” she snapped and sprang to her feet. “What kinda family do you even have? Are you sure that's your dad?” “Babes, you could see the resemblance.” I reminded her, even though I was beginning to doubt if it was true. “I think this is the best decision I could take, because the other options don't sit well with me.” “It's not good to be done. Are they crazy or what?” she scoffed and clapped her hands. “Since that's the case, I will have to speak to my dad so you can stay here until you get a job. I wouldn't leave you to rent an apartment when you haven't gotten a job, and you also need to receive your first salary before leaving,” she elaborated, and I listened attentively. “But, babe…” she took my hand. “You're going to face a backlash from the bikers, so do well to stay away from them, because they don't like outsiders.” I nodded gently, a soft smile on my face. “We are partying tonight, so you could join us too. There are limitations I would show you so you don't get on their nerves,” she added and chuckled. Soon, she got me a meal which she had ordered for me, and I satisfied my hunger cravings first. I stayed indoors even when she left and returned several times, playing games with my cell phone since I had submitted my applications to the hospital sites that I found online…and would apply physically to the remaining. Remy was a mechanical engineering student and had always loved repairing anything. Even when people's bicycles were spoiled, she didn't mind spending hours putting them together, and I admired her. I was a nurse, and she doesn't take treatments from anyone out there if not me. She always confessed how I was so good at treating patients and would love to see me climb milestones. Sometimes, she even mentioned her dad's motorcycle club needing a nurse, but they had already gotten one. Hours passed, and it was almost 9 pm when she showed up again, but this time with blood stains all over her arms. I stood from where I was, dropped my cell phone, and walked to her. “What happened to you? You're covered in blood…” She nodded, “It's my dad's blood. I'm not sure what happened yet, but the nurse is treating him.” I sighed, “So sorry to hear that.” “When he's better, I'll discuss with him about you. But for now, we should go clubbing.” “Is that right when he's down?” I asked, and she nodded. “Okay then!” She washed up quickly before I did, and I put on my baggy shorts and polo shirt, packed up my hair with the sides braided, and the middle left with my hair. They made me look masculine, fitting my attire. I'd loved menswear from childhood as it was just free to put on, and I also felt comfortable in it. So when my dad took me home, he stopped me from dressing like that as it was deceiving when I was a female. Now that I was out of his sight, I would dress the way I liked. Remy stared at me with her lips hanging open and shook her head, finally giggling. “Now, this is Fawn, whom I have known for years. Babe looks so hot in that. You sure the bikers wouldn't think you're one of them?” I chuckled, “Then it could be better as they wouldn't hate me around…” “Sounds good, but that's really hot on you. I missed you in this.” She dressed the same way too, right from the start, but was just excited that I was back to who she'd known in the past. Done, we walked out, holding hands together. “Look, a one-night stand wouldn't be bad, you know? Besides, you aren't even sure how your relationship with Deacon is moving, and he wouldn't find out that you got f****d by a stranger in the biker’s club.” Remy whispered to me, and I only returned the smiles she gave me. What she didn't know? I was still untouched. Deacon had been my first man, and I never shared my love life with him with Remy, so she just assumed we'd made out. The days I visited, he never made an advance, and I didn't want to do that first. As it stood, I just assumed he didn't want us going deeper when we weren't married, even though I longed to get banged by his veined c**k most times. The party was up already, lots of ladies twerking on a man's groin, and some drinking, smoking, and even kissing themselves at the sides. It was a very dirty place, and my first time seeing such a place, so I didn't want to go any further. “Can I just stay at the side and drink?” I asked Remy, who frowned at me. “It's not what you think. But I hadn't done all that before…” “Then I could teach you—” a man tapped her shoulder, drawing her attention and cutting her statement short. I devoured the man with my eyes, stoutly built and barechested. The dagger tattoo on his chest was damn beautiful, his leather trousers ripped down to his butt, and his belt loose. He had good-looking abs and a sharp jaw. “He's still bleeding? Up till now? What's the nurse doing?” Remy snapped, her voice laced with worry, too. She turned to me, panic flowing through her. “Babe, mind hanging around until I return?” I couldn't do that. “Your dad?” I asked, and she nodded. “Can I see him? I could help too…” She seemed to have forgotten that I was a nurse and breathed out. “How did I forget you? Just come here…” she dragged me with her, and we began leaving the party hall.
