She shook her head, her gaze turning faraway. "It was stupid." "Yes, killing Jalinda was stupid," I spat to gauge her reaction. Her head flipped toward me, her eyes widened, and her mouth opened a fraction of an inch in shock. Not what I expected. "I didn't kill Jalinda. You can't possibly believe that. Do you?"
