Maui Pov

"I think I just need a few minutes alone to process all this." Warren nods " I understand but there is one more thing, I found a finger and I'm guessing it might of been the one who did this." he then pulled out a bag and it did have a finger in it. I grabbed it and took it out to look it over more closely and it looked like a man's finger by the shape of it and how cipped and unclean the nail looked. I look at Warren for minutes not knowing what to say,,, then Warren just hugs me " I know you've been through alot by the way your room look like and I'm not gonna ask I'll wait til you're ready to talk about it." I sigh knowing he'd bring it up and greatful he isn't pushing on the topic. " I will eventually tell you everything I promise but right now I just wanna lay down and be alone for a bit." He nods again and I slowly get up from the couch and head to the room I've been staying in and my head is spinning with all that he told me it seems to be to much. Maybe I just need to take a nap and shut down for a bit. I lay down and the minutes go by my head on overdrive on thoughts of well everything and then after an hour of doing nothing I'm still not tired enough to take a nap my emotions drained me but it wasn't enough, my mind just won't let me. A knock makes me jump a little, then I realize it's probably Warren and say " Yes come in." His head peeks in slowly " I know you wanted some alone time but Hex is bugging the sh*t out of me saying I need to be in here so we can comfort you. " he laughs a little like he was nervous and a bit embarrassed. " It's fine you can come in I'm not making any progress being alone anyway maybe talking to you will help." He smiles and slowly crawls into bed next to me and wraps his arms around me " ask me anything you want."

Warren's Pov

She goes on talking about how she doesn't understand why anyone would hurt and kill her aunt and uncle apparently they were horrible to her, but they either avoided people or they were fake nice when they had came across someone. It was running through her mind over and over cause it didn't make sense I knew it was driving her crazy. " Hon some times there are just bad people out there and they don't have a reason to do what they do. " She still looks baffled , I grab her tighter " So one day when I was little my mom and I were at another packs territory visiting while my dad was in a meeting with their alpha, we decided to walk around and explore and talk with whoever wanted to talk to us. Anyway on our walk we were in the trees just enjoying how beautiful the woods were in the area when we went way further in, we heard a woman saying no over and over again, a male wolf from the pack was rap**g the girl from that same pack and because we were just visiting so by pack laws we couldn't step in and stop him and still to this day I can still picture the look on my mother's face it was full of different emotions like shock, disgust, angry and sadness once she snapped out of it and realized I was subjected to the vile act. she quickly said Let's go back and tell someone. but even though we rushed back and told my dad and the alpha nothing happened. the alpha had no laws no rules against that and couldn't careless what happened to the poor girl. The only thing we could do was not form a treaty with them, which was what that whole trip was about. My dad told the alpha that he didn't want anything to do with a pack or him if that was allowed, cause what else are they allowed to do and get away with. We later found out that some were also kidnapping human woman and doing whatever they wanted to them and then k***ing them. They were a huge pack and thought they could get away with anything and they did, still to this day no one has dared trying to stop them cause they would lose. Maui's facial expression says it all, she looks like what I said just pissed her off and I don't blame her just saying it pisses me off. " If a alpha is a leader and always has control of the pack but allows that, it just means he is a horrible alpha. And unfortunately there are wolves, humans and any other species capable of horrible things. there are good and bad in any species. " She seems to understand what I'm saying since she nods and says " I didn't experience much in my life but that I understand, I just always thought there had to be a reason. How can someone just do random awful things just because they can." I kiss her forehead and sigh " I don't understand it either but the only thing I know is eventually those things they did, they will get punished one day for it and they will regret it all." She looks at me confused on what exactly I ment but says " I hope they do."
