Kael’s POV As the woman walked out of the room, I turned slowly and stared at the ceiling, the sound of the door clicking shut echoing louder than it should. There was something about her. Something painfully familiar. I could remember the day I got back from the hospital, she was introduced to me as my father’s new mate. That was all they said. Nothing more.
