Gracie’s POV “Wait. Let’s wait till tomorrow morning,” I said softly, shutting the door behind the guard before he could argue. The hallway was quiet now, the kind of silence that made you hear your heartbeat too loud in your own ears. As I stood there for a second longer, I pressed my palm flat against the wood, my breath shallow. Why was I delaying? Why did I just stop the plan that was already in motion?
