Chapter 10--How Can I Trust

1250 Words
- - - Kira - - - Yes, give in to them! Osseya's voice cut through my mind, but my senses were on fire. My head was spinning the second my lips made contact with Daxiel. It was the first kiss I'd ever had. And it was amazing. His lips were so soft against mine as they began to move with me. His arms encircled my waist and gently pulled me down from the chair; he seated himself on the floor from his kneeling position and pulled me into his lap, pulled me closer into his embrace. His tongue asked for entrance and I parted my lips, stunned when it entered my mouth and began to dance with my own. A moan escaped, and I felt his body convulse in the pleasure he got from the sound. It was only moments before I felt two other sets of hands on my body. "Please," Maximus whispered in my ear, "please kiss me." I was helpless to their touch. Jaxon's hands ran lightly down the sides of my body and over the curves of my hips while he kissed my neck. I pulled my head back from Daxiel, lengthening my neck for Jaxon, but before I even had a second to breathe Maximus's mouth connected with mine. He was more aggressive than Daxiel; he knew exactly what he wanted and seemed to guide the movements of my tongue with his. Daxiel'mouth found the other side of my neck and oh god the slickness between my legs was impossible to ignore; the fire in my belly was begging for more, more, more. "Kira, kiss me," Jaxon moaned into my ear. I turned my head from Maximus's, gasped for air, and Jaxon's lips were on mine. The most aggressive of all, his keep was so deep it felt as if he would absorb me. I could feel Daxiel's erection poking t. hrough his jeans between my thighs and my body shook in response. I yearned to be closer. I was...I was... I pulled away from Jaxon as I gasped for air. "I have to breathe!" I shouted. I pushed back on Daxiel's chest to free myself from them and scooted back toward the chair. Panting, I grabbed the wall for support. Was this another panic attack? I heard Osseya laugh. This is desire for your mates. Insatiable lust. The three of them stared back at me, obviously concerned, but from what I could see very hard. The sight of them terrified me. There was no way. No. One was bad enough, but three was impossible. "Are you--are you okay?" Daxiel managed as he shifted his weight. He winced, but still forced a smile for me. "You seemed to enjoy it," Jaxon pointed out. "And I know I did." Maximus continued to observe me, but he remained silent. "I don't know what came over me," I said as I shakily went to my feet. I straightened the tie of my wrap dress, thankful that line hadn't be crossed. They all looked hurt, but Maximus looked absolutely wounded. He stood up quickly and I leaned back, startled at how massive he was as he towered over me. "You are our mate--our future Luna. I don't want to push you, but..." He glanced at his brothers, "this is ridiculous. Isn't it as painful for you to deny it as it is for us? We're in agony. You're ours." I opened my mouth to speak, but what could I say? Of course it was. It was nearly impossible to resist them. I could still feel the warmth of their touch, the zap of electricity that shot down my spine when our lips connected. It made me want things I had never wanted. But...wouldn't giving in to them mean giving in to everyone that wanted something from me? How many pieces of myself did I have to part with? What would I be afterward? Just their mate? "What are you thinking?" Daxiel gently prodded. He reached his hand out and set it on my knee, lightly rubbing his thumb back and forth. My shoulders relaxed instinctively. I hung my head. "I'm afraid of what this means," I breathed. "Explain," Jaxon said. I looked up at them and took a breath. "Everyone wants something from me. Before I came here, I knew exactly who I was, what my purpose was. I was going to be the Alpha of Black Wind, we were going to seek revenge. I don't know if that's a surprise to you--" "No," Max said with a low chuckle. "--well, that was the plan. I've worked for the last ten years to prepare for this role. The only thing missing was my wolf. But now...now it feels like if I do this one thing, I'm giving in to the pack that's been my pack's sworn enemy; I'm giving in to your father; I'm giving in to you; and I'm giving in to my father, which was never a problem before, but now..." I trailed off as I picked at the hem of my dress. "Now, he's betrayed you, and giving in to him means betraying what you've spent your life working toward." Jax finished. "I...yeah," I said, shocked. Jaxon smiled. "We can feel so much from you, Kira." Dax squeezed my thigh and I managed a small smile. "How do I trust you?" I asked. I truly wanted to know. Let them mark you, and you will see their loyalty will be only to you, Osseya told me. My breath caught in my throat. I don't even know them, I countered. You will. They are fated. Let it happen, She insisted. I looked up to the three of them. "What happens if I let you mark me?" I asked. Three pairs of bright green eyes widened at the same time. Jaxon spoke first after a beat of silence. I could sense their anticipation; they wanted it badly. Jaxon's attempt to control his speech was still obvious. "The first thing you know is that everything you've felt so far will be much, much stronger," He said slowly. "You mean...the s****l feelings?" I asked. I looked at the floor when I asked this, ashamed that my cheeks were burning so hot. Dax squeezed my thigh gently, once again. Maximus nodded. "Yes. It won't just feel like a strong urge. It'll be a need that has to be met." "Mind-link will be possible, as well. And we'll be able to locate each other at any time," Jaxon added. "We'll be able to feel one another's emotions," Dax said quietly. "I know you think that we're working with out father," Maximus said, "but once we're marked, and once the mark is legitimized, you'll see that you are our only priority." "Legitimized?" I asked, looking to Dax. He gave me a devilish smirk. "Once we mate," He said with a little eyebrow wiggle. I blushed again, but couldn't help the embarrassed giggle that escape. Jaxon sighed. "Kira, you are too f**king cute. Please," He said with a teasing grin. Give them a chance. Please. For me. Osseya pleaded. I had grown to love this wolf within me. Fierce and strong, yet she longed for the love of her mates. I wanted to have those same two sides exist for me, as well. "Can I have some time to consider?" The hopeful look returned to their eyes and Maximus finally cracked the widest smile I had seen yet. "Of course, Kira. Of course."
