Episode 10

Dante had the scent of Freya stuck in his head. He could also sense her heartbeat. So, he had all the requirements to find her. He needed to make their bond before he goes back to his pack. This entire trouble started three months ago. The reason he had to take the huge risk of coming to the human world. On his father's deathbed, he initiated Dante into the Alphahood and warned that no other person would take his place except Dante. A few days after the transition ceremony Alpha Hero died leaving Dante to occupy the throne. Happily, everyone coronated him and waited for the announcement of whom he has chosen to be his Luna. Unfortunately, on the day he was to reveal his alpha powers which will aid in the completion of the ceremony, the moon goddess equally appeared. To the displeasure of Dante, goddess Cora selected a mate for him which was no other person than Freya. One would say that the gods sorted for a befitting way to punish him, which was by pairing him with one girl he hated the most. It didn't only stop at the choosing of a wife, the gave him a more severe punishment, which was that he wouldn't attain his true nature until he had bonded with his mate. Dante, who would rather crawl the face of the earth than be stripped of his power and position immediately set out to find the girl he knew too well and would never take the news lightly. He even battled with himself because of what he didn't to Freya and knew obviously that she hated him. But notwithstanding, the need for her was greater than her anger for him, He knew that if they didn't bond, there would be zero difference between him and the omegas. Whether they liked each other or not, Dante's ulterior motive was what brought him to get to the human world. Now he really needed that same girl he ruined. As Dante got away from Jake's house, he began to track Freya to where the scent and heartbeat led. He ran as fast as he can along the track that Freya's scent was strong, careful to avoid attracting the attention of humans. As he continued his search, a dark wolf attacked him unawares. The wolf had familiar eyes, but it was difficult to dictate who was who when they were in wolf forms. All you could do was assume. And their wolf scent was always masked or strongly oozed with the scent of a wild dog. This particular wolf masked his scent so well. But Dante was able to tell that it was a male wolf. The dark wolf snarled, looking at Dante like he wanted to shred him into pieces. Well, he wanted to because seconds later, he advanced with full force toward Dante. Dante slammed his massive fist into the jaw of the attacking wolf just as his ears annoyingly tingled, picking up the heart rate of the wolf. With Dante's wolf, he was able to hear anxiety and treachery. He got the wolf into a headlock and attempted to reach for the nearby stick, but the wolf fought and clawed, drawing blood, its breath like sour acid. Dante was much stronger than the wolf because he was a Lycan and also an Alpha. But notwithstanding, the attacking wolf fought hard and good. Before now, it was agreed by the elders that Shifters were prohibited from accessing the human world unless in the case of the Blood Moon pack being banished into the human world was a punishment. This Shifter had gone against the law of the packs and attacked an Alpha, which was another huge offense. For as long as an Alpha was concerned, all Shifters were supposed to be loyal to him or her. But this particular wolf wanted this Alpha dead. Idiot. Dante had a territory advantage, even if he still was in the human world, one howl was all he needed and an army of wolves would come running to him. They were all loyal to a fault. Time to show the attacking wolf who was truly alpha. Dante's ears kept tingling uncomfortably and his scent of Freya heightened. Dante grabbed the wolf by the throat and threw it against the tree branch. The wolf howled, but did it stay down? Not for long. As the wolf prepared another attack, Dante said loudly, "Who are you?" as the wolf landed on him. A little tree smashed under them as they both slammed to the floor-damn, he liked his human body so much that he didn't like inflicting pain on it. "You leave a scare on my beautiful skin, you're dead," Dante snarled. Dante's shift was coming. In a few seconds, he wouldn't be able to hold himself together, let alone not kill this wolf. "Show yourself!" he yelled at the wolf. He threw a lone branch across the space and lifted the attacking wolf by the scruff of the neck. "Would you stop, you asshole?" The wolf snarled, teeth snapping at Dante's throat. The wolf in Dante responded. He felt his body change, muscles becoming harder and leaner, face elongating to accommodate teeth, claws jutting from fingers that quickly became paws. With an ear-splitting snarl, Dante went for the other wolf's throat, snapping teeth around the fur. At the last minute, the alpha in him told him not to kill. Dante was this wolf's protector, not its enemy. The wolf needed to be taught its place, not destroyed. Although he had learned control since becoming an Alpha. And the fact that he was still trying to become a true Alpha, just like every male in his lineage before him, made him more logical in reasoning the more. The only thing was that his logicality didn't extend to where Freya and other women were, due to the grooming he got from his father. Dante saw that he had left damage on the wolf, "I will give you one more opportunity to live," he said with his wolf to the attacking wolf. "Run," he snarled before howling angrily. As the wolf leapt with fear away from Dante, he maintained his wolf form and set out to continue his search for Freya.
