Chapter 7- Bloodbath

-Aliauna’s POV- The darkness is everywhere, yet I'm still aware of my surroundings. A shift in the air on my left, breathing coming from behind me, and someone rushes at me from my right. I move in time, grab their leg, and slam them on the ground. Whoever is on my left and whoever is behind me rush at me right after, and meet the same fate. Two more. I listen closely, trying to find the last two people. Someone lands on top of me, I grab their arms and roll, throwing them over my head. One more. A sound comes from a few feet in front of me. It seems a little too easy, I take a step forward, and just as quick turn around and sweep the feet of the last person out from under them. I take my blindfold off, and see the last person is Tyler, I offer my hand, and he pulls me down with him. “Got you,” he smirks. “I took out all five of you blindfolded.” I whisper in his ear before getting up and walking away. He tackles me, and we roll till he's on top of me, and I’m pinned to the floor. “When you act all bossy, you're adorable.” he whispers in my ear. We stare into each other's eyes before he slowly leans down and kisses me. I suddenly jolt awake. It was a dream. Looking at my phone, it says 5:42am, there's no point in going back to bed now, so I hop in the shower. A couple of hours later, everyone's awake, and ready to train. “I was thinking we could do the blindfolded exercise today?” Tyler asks. Him kissing me flashes in my mind. “Uh…” I was saved by the phone ringing. Esme picks it up then passes it to me, “it's a man, he wants to talk to Aliauna.” I take it, “hello?” “Hello, little wolf.” I gulp and put it on speaker, indicating for everyone to hush. “What do you want, Kaiden?” I growl. “That's no way to speak to your mate.” He says. “You're not my mate!” I snap. “That's not what our bond says, now I have something you want.” I look around at the people in the room, everyone seems to be barely hanging on, wanting to rip Kaiden to pieces. “And what might that be?” “You know it's not nice to let others in on private phone calls, and was that Esme Wattson who answered the phone? I'm glad I left her alive and not one of those ugly wastes of space. Oh! And how's Mateo…” “Ok!” I take him off speaker and walk into another room. “You’re off speaker, and I'm in another room! What do you have that I want?” “Did I say what? Oh, I meant who.” he says. “Kaiden! Who or what do you have?!” I start to get impatient. “Our daughter.” No, she is dead, he killed her. He is a manipulative liar, he's just trying to get into my head, “...You’re lying… y-you killed her, shes-shes dead.” “You're wrong, little wolf, and if you want her, come to me.” “I’m not falling for your f*****g tricks!” I hang up the phone. Tyler runs in the room, “Aliauna? What did he say? Are you okay?” “I need to go for a run.” I run out the door and strip, I shift into my wolf, still in control, and take off. I run for hours through trees, fields, and streams, before long I’m not sure where I am. I slow down and just look around me, I try to listen for any sounds. Growling. Spinning around, I come snout to snout with eight large pack wolves. I know I could take down all of them, but don't want to start a fight with a pack, so I stand there, holding my ground, I raise my tail to indicate I'm not a threat. The wolf in front of me shifts into a tall man with blonde hair, he unties clothes from his ankle, puts the shorts on and throws the shirt to me. “Shift.” I turn to go behind a tree, just to be stopped by three other wolves. I wasn’t shifting in front of them, so, I let out a growl. “Let her shift behind the tree.” the man says, and the wolves reluctantly move. I shift and put on the shirt before stepping out to find three more wolves shifted to humans. “Who are you, and why are you close to Blue Haven Pack territory?” the first man asks. “Captain Aliauna Malloy, with the council. You're part of Blue Haven?” “Yes, I’m Eliot Wattson, future Alpha of Blue Haven.” “Any relation to Esme Wattson?” I ask, already knowing the answer. “She’s my sister. Aliauna Malloy, my sister's new captain, and the badass who stood against our alpha, my future beta told me about you.” “Owen, right?” he nodded, and a wolf stepped forward. I instantly recognized his scent as Owens. “Can you take me to Alpha Keegan?” “Owen will take you, I have to get back to patrol. See ya around.” Owen shifts, then puts on shorts and leads the way. “So you’re an actual royal, eh?” he tries to start a conversation. “Yup.” I say, not really in the mood. “How Esme doing?” “Pretty good, considering.” “So what happened?” he asks. “She didn't tell you?” “Um, we don't really talk, a couple of years ago we dated but when I turned seventeen, and we weren’t mates, she broke it off.” “Ah. I don’t really want to get in the middle of this, so I'm going to not say anything.” “I get it. Anyway, we are here. Chloe will bring you to Alpha Keegan, I have to get back to Eliot. Chloe the maid brings me to an office then leaves. I knock on the door. “Come in!” Alpha Keegan yells, and I walk in. “Aliauna! Nice to see you.” “Hello Alpha.” “So, what brings you here?” The Alpha asks. “Well, if I’m being honest, I when for a run and blacked out, and ended up here.” I sigh, “would I be able to get a ride? Back to my cabin?” “Yes, of course. Let's get you some proper clothes first.” I look down and blush, forgetting that I only had a t-shirt on. “Oh… yes, okay.” Fifteen minutes later, I was properly dressed, and a car was waiting for me, to bring me home. “Goodbye, Aliauna. You’re welcome back anytime.” Alpha Keegan waves as I hop in the car. “Thank you, Alpha.” I say before closing the door. After about ten minutes of driving, I ask the driver if I can use his phone to call Tyler. I’m sure he’s worried. I dial his number, and hear his voice after a few rings. “Hello?” “Tyler, I-” I say before he cuts me off. “Aliauna! Thank f**k, you scared me! Are you ok? Where are you?” Tyler rushes out. “I’m fine, I ended up at Blue Haven pack, that Alphas pack that I was talking about the other day. One of his men is driving me home,” I look out the window, “we just passed Smitty creek road, we are on the highway.” “Ok, I’ll see you in a bit. Be safe Aliauna.” Tyler says. “See you in a bit, Ty-” and everything went black. -Tyler’s POV- The team and I are in the living room, Esme sits on the couch with Eric, Kyle is standing by the window, Mateo sits on the love seat with his head in his hands, and I’m pacing around. We are all worried about Aliauna. My phone suddenly rings, an unknown number, I pick up. “Tyler, I-” I hear Aliauna before I cut her off. “Aliauna!” everyone looks at me, “Thank f**k, you scared me! Are you ok? Where are you?” I ask. “I’m fine, I ended up at Blue Haven pack, that Alphas pack that I was talking about the other day. One of his men is driving me home, we just passed Smitty creek road, we are on the highway.” “Ok, I’ll see you in a bit. Be safe Aliauna.” I say to her. “See you in a bit, Ty-” Suddenly there's the sound of tires screeching and what seems like cars crashing. “Aliauna?!” I shout into the phone, “Ali!” the call cuts out. I look at the rest of the team, worry written all over them, “there was a crash, she must’ve crashed, let's go! Roll out!” Everyone piles into my truck and I speed down the highway towards Smitty creek road. Just before Smitty creek road I see a black car overturned, and two black SUVs, it looks like one of the SUVs crashed into the car. A bloody white wolf emerges from behind the car, and vampires pile out of the SUVs. “Shift and kill vamps.” I say to the team. -Aliauna’s POV- My head f*****g hurts, and all I can hear is ringing. I’m upside down, still strapped in my seat. I can’t see the driver, he must’ve been thrown out when the car flipped. ‘Aliauna! I can smell vampires.’ Asuna growls. I quickly gain control of my senses and to smell the vampires. I unbuckle myself and climb out the smashed window. Having no time to go over my injuries, I look around for the driver in hopes I’ll have help. I see his body laying on the ground and I crawl over to check his pulse, dead. f**k. ‘We gotta shift.’ I tell my wolf. I shift, no longer small enough to hide, and walk out from behind the car. Probably a dozen vampires pile out of two SUVs and stalk towards me. I launch at one and rip his head off, killing him instantly. Another one is knocked down in front of me, and I look up to see a golden wolf, Tio, Tyler’s wolf! The team came for me! I look around and see Esme’s wolf, Mateo’s leopard, Kyle with his hands shifted to claws and Eric shooting vampires. Tio rubs up against me, as if to say he is happy I’m ok, then we turn to kill the vampires. It takes a bit, but we finally kill the last of the vampires. Tyler walks over to his truck and shifts throwing on a pair of pants and tossing a pair to Mateo, he brings my one of his shirts then turns around for me to shift. Kyle shifts his hands back and takes his shirt off to give it to Esme. Once we all shift and have some sort of clothing on, we walk over to Tyler's truck. Tyler walks up to me and moves my hair away from my forehead, “Aliauna, you’re bleeding.” “I’ll be ok.” I tell him. “Eric, grab me the first aid kit from my truck.” He ignores what I said and lifts me onto his tailgate. Eric brings him the first aid kit, and Tyler bandages my forehead, then proceeds to look me over for any other injuries. He finds a big one along my back and bandages that too. “Do any of us get special care?” Mateo jokes. “f**k off.” Tyler answers him. “Can I use your phone, Tyler?” I ask. “Of course.” He grabs his phone from the cab and passes it to me. I go into his contacts and look for Samuel's name, when I find it I click call. It rings a few times before he answers. “Tyler, what can I do for you?” “It’s Aliauna actually,” I say. “Oh, hello Ali.” “Samuel, I’ve been attacked. I’m ok, but we need a clean crew by Smitty creek road.” I tell him. “There will be one there shortly, I’m glad you're ok. What happened?” “Kaiden’s men… first he killed Kayleigh, then had Esme’s team killed, and now he’s coming after me… again.” “What are you gonna do?” Samuel asks. “I’m gonna kill him.” I state dryly. “What do you need? Do you need another team? More weapons? Anything and you will have it.” I look around at my team, the look back at me, and I can see their loyalty, “I’ve already got all I need, I have my team.” “Ok, I’ll let you go now, the CUC (clean up crew) will be there soon. Goodbye and be safe.” and he hangs up the phone. “I just have to make one more phone call, to your dad, actually.” I say, looking at Esme. “My father? Why?” She asks. I explain that I ended up at his pack and how it's one of his pack members laying dead on the ground only feet away from us. Esme says she’ll deal with that, and after she gets off the phone we head back to our lovely, humble home.
