Charlie, bundled up in an oversized mint green puffy jacket, dipped into the White Forest when the bell signaling the end of the school day rang that Tuesday. She decided she would just meet the others at the shack and not bother trying to see if they wanted to walk there together. She did a little bit more practicing with her gift as she made her way over. She just did little things, such as making the plants move. She could hear whispers of the thick, dense greenery in the White Forest conversing with each other, but she did not want to try to focus on what they were saying, nor did she feel like trying to get them to talk to her. She didn’t want to chance falling ill again right now, especially in front of the others. She hadn’t missed being teased by Kire, Kaos, Trace, and Amberly. T
