The exterior of the Norduke Library was much different from what Charlie had been expecting. For a place that held such an old journal, she expected something more old-fashioned. A stone exterior with stone steps, big marble columns, and a frieze on top. Instead, the Norduke Library had a more modern feel. It had floor-to-ceiling glass-paned windows and glass automatic doors. The sides of it were wrapped in a thick planked wooden paneling and cement, and there was a wide overhang with large metal lights built into the thin striped metal soffits underneath. “Why doesn’t Montgomery have nice places like this?” Kire asked Charlie as they made their way inside the library.
