The Unlikely Defenders left their building and crouched down the alleyway once more. They hid behind the wall, and all waited until Kaos gave them the signal. Charlie’s heart was pounding fast. She couldn’t believe she was about to do this. Already, she was looking all around herself for any sign of plant life that she could use to manipulate into weapons. Thankfully, there were vines and weeds and bushes in the courtyard that she was going to be able to use to her advantage.
“Are you guys ready for this?” Kaos whispered.
Everybody nodded their heads. But Charlie didn’t know how ready she was. This was going to be a terrifying battle. They might all die. But she had to remain positive. They were strong enough to be able to defeat them. They may not have been chosen for a specific reason
