When Charlie woke up, she found it was to herself muttering Kire’s name.
“Uh, no,” Trace’s voice said awkwardly. “You got me here, though.”
Charlie tried to figure out what was going on in her surroundings. She couldn’t tell where she was and how she got there. It seemed like she was slumped over something.
Quickly, she came to the right realization that she was slumped over Trace’s back. He was giving her a piggyback ride, and they were making their way up the mountain toward the castle.
“What’s going on?” she mumbled, concerned about how weak her voice sounded coming out of her.
