**LOUIS POV** I stirred softly and groaned when I touched my head. I could see blood on my hand. I winced and sat up straight. Where am I? I whispered. I tried to remember how I got here, but my brain was so foggy. I was in a room, dimly lit, like it hadn't been used in a long time. It smelled like bad food. I couldn't help retching. I remembered pushing my friend. Zayn. How was he? Was he alive? He had to be alive. They got to him safely, right? I started pacing. Who kidnapped me? Who wanted me erased? I couldn't stop questioning myself. The door creaked softly. "Oh, the sleeping beauty is awake," a menacing voice echoed in the room. I couldn't help shaking. The figure entered. He was very bulky. He could break my lanky frame in two if he wanted to. I backed away. "Who are you?" I asked shakily, keeping my distance. "You don't need to be afraid of me. I'm not the danger here. I'm just here to deliver you to the boss," he answered, already heading out. "Boss? Which boss?" I shouted. "Take me back home!" My voice was shaking badly. I was surprised I was even able to form a sentence. He looked bored. "If I were you, I wouldn't want to go home. And you joined a group without knowing the danger. I admire your courage." "You know you killed someone." "Just pray to whatever you believe in that the boss is in a good mood. He's been sappy lately, so he might not take his anger out on you." He looked at me with pity. Days blurred into months. I lost count. We only traveled at night. I was fed once a day, sometimes not at all. I was already malnourished. I couldn't help thinking about the past. My family. Especially Mom, and Jake, and my stone-faced brother. Would they miss me? Would they cry for me? I shook my head. No. If they knew what I did to Zayn, they wouldn't want me back home. I sighed bitterly. After traveling for a month, we got there. I couldn't help hating it. I tried to turn back and run, but I fell. Xavier, my captor, choked me until I almost lost consciousness. We entered the base. I rubbed my neck, still trying to catch my breath. "Don't you dare do that again, or I’m going to make you regret it. And I promise you, you won't like it," he threatened me. I glared at him. We entered the house. I could see some bulky guys. Xavier greeted everyone warmly. "Where the f**k is this? Is this the boss's new toy?" one of them shouted. The rest laughed like maniacs. I rolled my eyes and stared at them, bored. "He's going to be a feisty cat. If the boss doesn't like him, I'm going to take him for myself." I followed Xavier. We passed many corners. I could feel my hands trembling badly. My body took that as a signal, and I started shaking even worse. We reached a room that screamed expensive. I could hear screaming inside. "The boss is already doing his thing," Xavier sighed, rubbing his hands over his face. He knocked, and we entered. I hid behind Xavier, not daring to come out. I could hear moaning. He was having s*x in broad daylight. "Where is the boy I asked you to bring?" His voice was dangerously low and deep. "He's here." Xavier looked beside him, then behind him. He shoved me to the ground. I stared at him with wide eyes. He'd never treated me badly until we got here. This was the second time. "Hello there. How are you doing?" he spoke, as if he wasn't f*****g someone so hard a second ago. I stared at him, not trusting my voice to speak. He looked at me calmly and pushed the guy he was with away. He walked to me slowly. He grabbed my hair forcefully, never breaking eye contact. "When I talk to you, you answer me. Understood?" I whimpered and nodded, tears brimming in my eyes. "Why— why?" I shouted, my voice hoarse. "Why did you kidnap me?" He looked bored and answered, "Because you look easy to break. And I love breaking things like you." I spat in his eye. "Read my lips, you maniac. You will never break me. I will make you pay for what you did to my friend, you psychopath!" He was laughing. Then suddenly his eyes changed. "How dare you talk to your boss like that!" he shouted and slapped me. My ears were ringing. I think I lost my hearing for a minute. He gripped my hair and started bashing my head on the floor. White spots burst behind my eyes. I could taste copper in my mouth. Bile rose in my throat. I bit my tongue so hard I tasted metal. I tried to struggle, but who was I kidding? He was the boss for a reason. When he felt his message had been passed, he released me. "Xavier. Take him to the training room.
