Delilah's POV I'd carefully gathered the pieces of the photo and the broken frame and placed them gently in a box before hiding it in the back of my closet, then sat down at my desk and opened my laptop and started searching for healer training programs as far away from here as I could possibly get. That night I'd found Silvercrest Pack's teaching hospital program and their smaller satellite clinics that hired trainees while filling out applications until three in the morning with my eyes burning and my hands shaking, but feeling more awake and alive than I had in months.
