Sierra's POV Viviane seemed to have forgotten about the vial she had drawn up. Instead, she was bustling around me, clicking her tongue and preparing things to deliver the baby. She occasionally mumbled something about how stupid I was or didn't have a better sense of safety. All I could do was lay in the bed and wait, my contractions coming more quickly and more intense now that my water had broken. Breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth as another one hit me, I tried to push away the pain and think of the right time to strike. There would only be one chance, and I had to ensure it wouldn't alert Erasmus upstairs that something was happening.
