Jacob didn't subscribe to the myths surrounding vampires, such as the need for an invitation to enter a home. He dismissed these as nothing more than fabrications perpetuated by vampires for their protection. Fuelled by a combination of thrill and anger, Jacob used his boot to forcefully open the front door of Dave's house. His grin was menacing as Dave, initially ready to confront the intruder, recognized him and immediately relaxed. Dave shook his head, brushed past Jacob, and slammed the door shut. "Ever heard of knocking? It's a common social custom. You knock on the door, wait for someone to open it, and then they invite you inside," Dave grumbled, clearly irritated. He gestured for Jacob to follow him deeper into the house. Jacob found himself laughing at the irony of Dave's words
