Caroline sneered inwardly. 'Who knows if you're even qualified to be the Luna of the Boston family anymore, you old woman who needs drugs to keep herself from transforming?'
She gave a haughty laugh. “I'll remember that, Karen. I'm going back to my room to rest now.”
Karen was so enraged by her attitude that she started gasping for air again.
But just then, a familiar voice came from outside. “Mrs. Boston, Scarlett is here.”
The maid who came to announce the arrival walked in and was startled by Caroline's expression.
