Caroline had shouted on purpose.
She had already seen the reporters. She wanted to influence public opinion and make everyone think that Scarlett had hurt Ryan's mother. By the time everyone was spreading the rumor, even if Scarlett was the Stuart heir, she couldn't do anything about it.
“Shut up!” Scarlett snapped. “You pushed Karen. The police will be here soon. Do you think your slander will work? This is a hospital ward. Cut it out!”
The nurses came over and reprimanded them, “Whose family is this? Why are you yelling? Get out if you yell again!”
The others also started to discuss, “Yeah, she is so rude.”
“That's Caroline. She's always in the news.”
“It's her? No wonder.”
“Doesn't she realize that she's disturbing the other patients?”
