Caroline was overjoyed at Karen's words!
'Karen has obviously lost her memory! As long as she has amnesia, she wouldn't remember it was me who had pushed her down the stairs,' thought Caroline.
"Caroline, say something." Seeing Caroline's silence, Karen urged, "Where's Timmy?"
Caroline tentatively asked, "Karen, don't you remember anything now? You're in the hospital."
Karen was stunned. She looked around and muttered to herself, "Yeah, why am I in the hospital? What happened? My head... Who wrapped so many bandages around me? What happened? Did my plastic surgery fail?!"
Karen touched her face in horror.
"Karen, chill. Don't think about it," Caroline coaxed.
"No, no," Karen cried out in fear, "Why am I here? My head hurts so much! What happened? What's wrong with me? Ah!"
