Chapter 10 – The Obsession
She tried to run.
At 3:12 a.m., barefoot and breathless, Alesia slipped past the guards when one dozed off at the post. Her chest ached with panic, but her feet didn’t stop. The mansion gates were visible in the distance—freedom almost in reach.
Then headlights blinded her.
The car door slammed.
Nico didn’t yell.
He didn’t chase her.
He walked.
Every slow, deliberate step made her knees weaker.
“You thought you could leave?” His voice was calm. Dangerous. “After everything I’ve given you?”
She stepped back.
He closed the space between them, grabbed her by the jaw, and pressed her against the side of the car.
“I feed you,” he growled. “Dress you. Sleep with your body wrapped around me like a curse I chose to keep. And still you try to run?”
Her eyes filled with tears.
“I’m not yours, Nico,” she whispered.
His hand slid between her thighs. She gasped.
“No?” he rasped. “Then why are you wet?”
Her shame hit like a wave.
He opened the car door, shoved her inside, climbed in after her. And there, in the dark leather backseat, he broke her again.
He didn’t kiss her gently.
He devoured her.
Every thrust was punishment.
Every growl in her ear a reminder that she belonged to him—mind, body, soul. The windows fogged. Her nails left scratches down his back. Her cries turned to whimpers. And when she shattered, it was with his name on her lips.
“I don’t care if you hate me,” he said, voice low and raw. “But you will never leave.”
She believed him.
And worse… she didn’t want to anymore.
