Chapter 2- The Rouge Attack

1012 Words
My name is Rose Davis and I belonged to Crystal Moon Pack.      I was only 16 when my parents were killed by rouges. I was at school in our pack territory when we got notice from pack warriors that  we were being attacked by rouges. As per protocol all the she wolfs , elderly wolfs and pups were told to  go into our pack safe house and were to remain in their until it was safe to do so and the outside threat  was either eliminated or contained . Usually the alpha would mind link the warriors in charge of guarding  us to let us know when we could come out of hiding. At the time my brother Logan was away in a  neighboring pack, training to become one of the best pack warriors in existence. Just like myself Logan  was an overachiever,  he could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He was incredibly good at  fighting and wanted to learn new technics from our allies and neighboring packs. Logan was extremely  hot headed and would get in fights at school all the time, until he decided he wanted to put his skills to  good use by training and acquiring as many  skills as he could to become the top warrior and gain the  respect he always wanted.        Our alpha Jayden Green had just taken over for his father who was too old to continue being alpha   and given the title of alpha over to his spoiled son who thought he could get away with bad behavior just  because he was the alphas son. Instead of using that title to his advantage and becoming a great leader  like his father had been while being alpha, he chose to neglect the pack making it weaker in the process.  His beta was by far a greater leader and fighter than the alphas son and while on guard had discovered  rouge sightings getting closer to their boarders. With our pack becoming weaker with an ass as our alpha  word was spreading quickly about our weaknesses and rouges were coming closer with the intention of  challenging Alpha Jaydan for his title. Although he tried to communicate this to Alpha Jayde with urgency the Alpha was so stubborn and did not act quick enough and our pack was attacked by  the rouges. Our pack was caught by surprise and highly outnumbered, with no extra warriors on guard or extra trainings going on our packs chance of surviving any attack was very low if any. Our warriors did  their best to fight off the rouges and many gave their lives fighting to protect us while help was coming  from far away. Meanwhile  my parents were on their way home from working in town and were caught in  the middle of the attack.     They didn't even get a chance to shift or protect themselves before they were brutally killed . In a way I  am grateful that Logan was away at the time otherwise who knows, I might have lost him as well during  the attack. Our alpha did not believe in letting female wolfs train or participate in battle he thought she  wolfs were only meant for mating , entertainment, and looking pretty not for fighting , they would only  serve as a distraction and get in the way of the fighting. If he would have allowed us to train we could  have had a greater chance of fighting the rouges off and my parents might still be alive right now. After I  found out how their life's were taken away from them in the very place they called home while I was  safely tucked away in the pack safe house. I felt so helpless and alone and grew to resent my alpha for  his horrible way of ruling. He thought men were superior to women, listened to no one  slept around way  too much and partied everyday, he did not have a serious bone in his body. Come on who does these  things anymore, we no longer live in medieval times where men are thought to act or be superior to  women, we are equals. In part I also blamed myself for not being able to help keep my parents safe. Had I  had the proper training to fight I would have been out their fighting next to the men and protecting the  innocent.      Ever since that dreadful day I vowed to myself to use all that hate and resentment as a means of  surviving and fighting to have a better life and future filled with equal rights and fairness for all of us. I  promised in that moment that I would get revenge on them and all the innocent lives lost too early if life  ever gave me a  chance....     Thinking like this gave my life meaning and purpose I was now living to make a change, be a difference and I hoped with all my strength that I would be that change some day. My parents did not raise a fool and I know they would be proud to see me fight for something that I felt very strongly about. I only wish they would be here to see me accomplish all  my dreams and desires. After always dreaming of caring for  peoples lives I found out that I wanted to fight for them as well, to be the one to guide them through it to be their hope and their strength when weak.     After the rouge attack Alpha Jayce came to his senses and changed for the better, but it  was a little to late for many. He had lost most of the pack members respect and a lot of them  had died in battle . A lot of pack members ended up leaving the pack to start a new beginning in  neighboring packs, he basically had to start fresh again. Logan and I saw no point in staying with  someone so weak and who was to blame for our parents death so we decided to leave and start fresh as well...
