Chapter 8- Alpha Luca

    It's late on  Monday when we arrive at my territory. Me and my beta Samuel  were away at Blue Moon

Pack helping with a security issue and rouge sightings. The issue is under control for now but we are all 

on high alert. We don't take security breaches lightly and we need to be ready to help Blue Moon with 

any problems before it gets out of hand and our pack becomes affected or attacked.

    Samuel is my beta and mentor who has remained by my side since my father passed, he was also my

fathers beta and helped guide me after I became alpha. He is a great beta and without him becoming 

alpha at such a young age would have been extremely hard. He is reaching the age were it is getting too

hard for him to be dealing with pack business which means I will have to find a replacement for him soon. 

My third in command needs to make me a list of who is best qualified for the position of beta.

    I feel a great relief to finally be home, and find myself going in the direction of my office located on 

the first floor of the pack house. I like for my office to be around my pack so they feel like they can come 

to me with any issues and it gives it everyone a feeling of being a more united pack. 

    While I was gone I left my third in command in charge to deal with any business or issues that needed 

to be taken care of while I was away. Hunter is a great fighter and a very loyal pack member, I know I can 

count on him when needed .But I like to always be in charge of my affairs that way I feel more in control 

of any situations that arise and their are less misunderstandings.

    Grace 's family was supposed to arrive yesterday and I couldn't be here to welcome them and will

need to schedule a meeting with them for that purpose. While in my office I ask for dinner to be delivered 

to me so that I can eat and catch up on pack business that needs my immediate attention. It's late night 

when I finally catch up on my work and decide to call it a night and go up to my floor to get some much 

needed rest.

    On the way up to the second floor I notice a wonderful floral scent coming from one of the rooms, I 

have never smelled something so delightful in my life. The smell is very faint but I am able to smell 

it because of my wolf. He gets excited with the smell and starts pacing around in my head trying to 

come to the surface. I am so exhausted from the days events  I decide to go to my room and wait to find 

out what the scent is in the morning. After all it could be my imagination playing tricks on me. I am so 

tired I lay down in my bed and fall into a peaceful sleep.

     I wake up well rested and content but my wolf is still pacing back in forth in my head. I take a quick 

shower and change into a black shirt with dark jeans. Alpha duty awaits me , but first things first ,I 

mind link Hunter to let him know I want to meet with him in my office before breakfast so that he can 

update me on events while I was away. 

      Hunter - Good morning Alpha Luca!

    Luca- Good morning Hunter, How is Grace doing? Did her family make it here ok? I need an update on events while I was gone! Do you have news on the expansion of our land?

     Yes Alpha, my mates niece and nephew arrived and Saturday evening and I gave them a tour of the 

territory and let them know what they will be doing for the time being . Our warriors are keeping an eye on 

movement around our borders, everything seems fine, no rouge sighting as of right now.  We were able to 

buy 75 more acres of land. The land is a perfect fit for training, just like you thought.

     Luca- Perfect, my plan is to make the new land fit for training and to use the surroundings to our 

advantage to take our training to the next level. I need you to get the warrior to help

move all of our equipment and set up training in the land we just purchased. We will be using the old 

training site for building new housing for our growing pack, the sooner all the training equipment is 

moved the sooner you can get an architect and building crew to start working on construction .Now lets 

go have breakfast and we can finish discussing details later.

Rose Point of View:. 

    I was coming down the stairs to the first floor to grab some breakfast before school. I was rushing 

down the hall that leads to the cafeteria while checking that I had all my school supplies in my bag when I 

ran into a hard wall...

Luca's Point of View:

    As I was coming out of my office with Hunter, I stop abruptly in my tracks, the same floral scent from 

last night hit me so strong that I find myself being drawn to the intoxicating smell like nothing else. My 

wolf is trying to tell me something but I am to distracted by the smell to notice what.

    The floral scent is so sweet like sunbathed field flowers and so close I can almost taste it. I feel a peace 

and calmness about me in that moment that I never felt before. I close my eyes and take in as much of 

the scent as I can only to have the source of the smell run right into my chest...

Everything is so clear now.
