Over the next few days, I dusted off my old teaching credential and landed a job as a dancing teacher at a local school. The older teachers, hearing I was single, jumped at the chance to play matchmaker. "No thanks," I'd say, brushing them off with a smile. "I'm good on my own." That day, after sending another well-meaning colleague on their way, I leaned back at my desk, exhaling. I still hadn't adjusted to modern life.
