42 Some sound caught her attention, her hurried pace distracted by sensory data that was just—off. She reached into her head to pull on that thing that knew when those things not quite human were near. She sent it around her to scan the cliffs above, the plateau ahead, and the valley behind. So much input inundated her senses it was as good as none. So much data she didn't trust what it told her.
