34 PROLOGUE Sabik was a large man. Round, bald head held large, dark eyes that stared out the observation window. The Rishi’s flowing robes hid most of his strength from a passing glance. Even his hands were lost to the folds of his clothes. It was how he’d looked for thousands of years, and despite staying ahead of developing technology and science, Sabik was steadfast in his personal aesthetic. While his thick, muscled bulk stood tall, posture suggesting he wasn’t paying attention, Arlo knew better. Arlo felt duty-bound to speak his concerns.
