There was too much he couldn’t decide. Those things he’d decided, he wasn’t sure he’d drawn the right conclusions.
Daniel’s presence strained already tenuous bonds between the Soldiers. He’d known that would be an issue, but with nothing else to do with the Soldier short of locking him back up, there was little to be done about it. Not to mention, Hamal didn’t know how Dee was handling Daniel’s apology. He’d meant to talk to her, but there was so much to do.
This information about the missing time in Dee’s memory brought up more decisions that had to be made. Should he tell her what Han and Arlo claimed? Was there a good reason they hadn’t told her themselves? Sabik had had plenty of opportunity.
A knock alerted him to someone at the half-open door.
