Listen to that epic song above. "Uh-am, am Tony." I stretched out my hands, demanding a handshake. She dithered on having a handshake with me until I observed I still wield a g*n on my hand. I gave her a g*n not my hands silly me, I said in my mind, and left the g*n, to fall off my hand down to the floor. She shook my hand at a distance, grabbing only the edges of her hand, she was a little scared even after a friendly introduction. Bang! . went the guns outside the closet, causing McVey to scream, she fell back to the corners where she was before. shots must have pierced a skin, I thought to myself. She squatted and had her arms cloaked over her knees, fidgeting in fright, "Please help me get out of here." She pleaded. "Take my hands if you wanna live." I said to her. She took my hands, I drew her up, Before that I made up my mind to get her home safely, I felt pity seeing her so scared and defenceless, I couldn't leave her alone in the closet. It meant i will have to leave Natasha, drew and Odysseus behind, they are gonna freak out if they find out I left them in the middle of a shootout, and I might not get my share if the clothes are sold. I took a deep breath, accepting I wouldn't make money after my little effort. I picked the pistol and went before the window, to smash it with it. Crix! Crix!...the glasses shattered and fell. I went through first, I felt she wouldn't wanna go first, she might think I would shoot her in the back if she turns around. I just wanted her to trust me. (***I didn't anticipate she'd love me after that***).. I helped pull her through the window, I lifted her down the window holding unto her waist. --I think those lingering touches had a hand in her falling love with me-- The way she looked at me when I put her down. It told a story, a chemical reaction went on in her mind. Wait, pause.. I think love is a psychological illness, how does it start,? why do you love a woman and other women seem dead to you. Love is not normal, it is a mental illness. So I define love as a mental illness. Which when gotten, causes you to become attracted to a particular person. ****back to the story**** We were lucky to find a taxi coming towards our direction, a pinpoint of our need, like he was a valet. We waved at it. Before it parked just before us. "Where to gentleman." Taxi man asked with a broad Hindi accent, I almost did not catch what he said. But McVey answered, "To Maryland." She quite understood his hindi accent. "Let me drop you off." I offered. She thought twice, almost half way into the taxi-car. "Are going my direction."? I can't mention contom as the place I live... If in any way she would consider taking me to be a friend or lover, but if I mention contom, she would have never considered me an acquittance, talk less of her boyfriend. " I live in Corridor layout," I said , a street far beyond Maryland, Where the mediocre resides, it is almost close to the country side. "Well hop in let's go," I dropped her off in front of her house , she thanked me for helping her get out alive, we exchanged numbers and i left in the taxi. A Week later she called...saying , I have been in her mind lately...that's how it all came down to this... ⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩⏩ She gave two quick glances at me, wondering where am headed, I said I wanted a normal date, but the sort of neighborhood I was driving to had her wondering if I was insane. Colliery avenue, a street not to far from contom, but is a little less ghetto than contom. McVey could see some raggedy a*s niggas in the middle of a nigga-moment. Hanging around the hood with pieces of w**d. Doing nothing , waiting to find a crime to commit. The streets was crowdy at night, with dangerous looking men, ranging about aimlessly. It was an inconvenient atmosphere for McVey, judging by the moue on her face. "This date keeps getting abnormal to me." She said. "How do you mean."? I parked the car beside the wide road, " I mean, this could be a dangerous hood, I don't think it will be perfect for us." She said, and took away her face from me, "Where did you want to go."? I asked. " Mr chimes was a nice place. But it would be late before we get there and I need to go to bed early, I have work tomorrow." She said. Sounding a little frustrated, looked like she was weary of an unavailing journey, the date looked more like a road trip for we have been on our way to a normal- colliery-resturant for close to three hours. "I think I know a nice and normal restaurant we can go." I sounded enthusiastically. "I can't. She said. I know you are short of cash tony, its okay if you don't wanna spend a lot today. You can just leave it till next time until you become financially stable." She said. "Yeah, I kinda had a decrease in sales this week, And I failed to make enough money." Did you truly have a decrease in sales I said in my mind. Or a failed robbery had you broke the whole week. Thank God he made our minds a mystery, which can't be uncovered by someone else. The date went up the spouts, we rescheduled the date night, and dropped McVey home, before retiring to my house...
