Chapter ThirteenThe pain in Kelia's shoulder had given way to a cold numbness that spread to nearly every part of her body. Only the feeling of hunger that threatened to devour her from the inside out remained. She kept her head lowered, unwilling to look up at the rain that continued to pour into her earthy prison. Darkness engulfed every inch of her cell making it nearly impossible to see anyway. The incessant flood of rainwater had lasted for what felt like hours, filling the hole she now sat in, and it showed no signs of stopping.
