EpilogueMaeve exhaled as she felt the familiar dirt of the Plateau under her feet. The Elystran sun, which she'd not seen in over a day, welcomed her home like a long-lost friend. She released her hold on Zinni and Marda, who also reveled in the feel of sunlight on their cheeks. It had been a long, long two days. Maeve's clothes, as well as the two plant-Wielders', were caked in Vandan mud. Between that and the pouring rain they'd had to endure during their latest visit, Maeve felt like a drowned rat.
