Chapter Six Rebecca’s head came up. “What?” “Your feet. Their lovely. I’ve been thinking of getting mine done. You know, a pedicure.” Tommy was thinking of Benj. Rebecca gave Tommy a thin, grim smile. It wasn’t much, but it was the first glimmer of a smile that had curled Rebecca’s lips since Molly had disappeared. Maybe she was relieved by the change of topic, or simply disarmed by the absurdity of the question. But she did smile. “Lilly,” Rebecca said, her voice still unsteady. “She’s on Canal Street, near the China District. Been going to her for years.” Rebecca opened her purse and rifled through a bundle of business cards, selected one and wrote on the back. “When did you want to go?” Rebecca asked, passing the card across.
