CHAPTER FOURTEEN The next day Colton got up early for his breakfast date. It went by fast and he was on to the next, spending a few hours with each date he had scheduled. He had a good time, talking and getting to know new guys who had the potential to become regulars. It was mostly repeating information about himself when he was prompted for it. With each guy he judged how nosy he could be about their lives. He didn’t want to say or ask the wrong thing because his goal was to get the biggest tip he could out of each one of them. Some of the guys were private. They didn’t want him to know much about their daily lives, which he could understand. He didn’t want them to know too much about his, either. There was one he felt a little stiff with, but everyone else made him feel comfortable enough. The only thing he was worried about was getting sick from all the food he had eaten throughout the day. He didn’t want to puke on someone, nor did he want to offend anyone by not eating what they paid for. By the time he arrived at Lucas' house he had already had four meals, a hot dog in the park, and some FroYo. There had to be a secret to pacing yourself. If he continued eating like this, he’d have to work out three times a day instead of one. That or he’d have to learn to vomit after each date so he could continue eating on into the next one. He made a mental note to text Aiden and see if he had any advice for that. Colton headed downstairs after being let in by Lucas’ mom. He smiled when he came to greet him at the bottom of the stairs. “Hey there,” he said as he took his jacket off and tossed it on the banister, then walked over and hugged Lucas, this time initiating the contact between them. He knew Lucas would like that. “I didn’t think you were coming,” Lucas said in a lowered voice as he squeezed Colton against him. Colton watched as Lucas untangled himself from around his body and took a seat on the sofa. “Why did you think that?” He followed suit and sat down beside him, peeling his shirt off his back before tossing it into the chair with the rest of his stuff. Glancing over, Lucas’ eyes were drawn directly to Colton’s bare chest, blocking out the question he had been asked. “Oh my god,” he whispered breathlessly. “You’re like a God.” Colton laughed and gripped his chin in his hand, pulling his face upward, forcing Lucas to look at him. “Why did you think I wasn’t coming?” “I...” He swallowed and shrugged, looking down. “I didn’t think you liked being here.” He looked up into Colton’s ice-blue eyes, a hint of sadness in his own. “And what gave you that impression?” Lucas shrugged again. “I don’t know. I don’t make friends easily. People don’t really like me too much.” “Well that’s stupid. Of course I’d come back. I had a blast.” Colton leaned in and brushed his lips across Lucas’. “And I like the taste of your lips.” He winked and picked up the controller. He was getting the hang of this gay s**t after a long day of being forced into it. “What are we playing?” Lucas watched him for a long moment, his heart pounding so hard he thought he would have a heart attack and flop out right there. “Uh, I...” he stuttered, unable to collect his thoughts. “Yeah?” Colton laughed. “Is that a good game?” Lucas laughed suddenly and snapped out of it. “Sorry. Do you want a beer? I know I didn’t have any last time, but you mentioned you liked it so I got some for you.” Colton smiled at Lucas’ thoughtfulness, but he’d already had so much to drink today he felt like an alcoholic. “Nah, I’m good. A soda would be great.” If he kept eating and drinking so much he’d be a fat, alcoholic queer in less than a few months. He couldn’t have that. Then how would he make his money? Selling Jenny Craig? His eyes fell to the coffee table and the new game sitting there, still in its original box and wrapped in cellophane. “New game?” Colton picked it up and took a look at it. “Looks like fun.” Lucas grinned and took the box for it, breaking into the wrapper and pipping the case open. “I just bought it… for us.” He grinned as he took the disc out. “I was waiting for you so we could start it together. Want to try it out?” “Of course.” Just like the day before, time passed quickly. Colton could feel Lucas staring at him the entire night, his eyes raking over his body when he thought he wasn’t looking. He thought Lucas was letting him play because it was a new game and he was really into it, but as the night went on he realized he had just wanted his hands free so he could touch him whenever he was given permission to do so. He couldn’t resist putting his hands on him and when he got more comfortable, Lucas rubbed his thigh while watching him play the game. Colton grinned when he was reminded yet again that being here like this with Lucas was almost exactly like sitting at home with Mason, f*****g off in front of a game all day while being half molested. Although Lucas was being mild in comparison, he knew he’d get braver the more time they spent together. Colton didn’t mind. He knew he could dominate Lucas, so he wasn’t concerned about him taking it too far. If he got out of line he’d just reprimand him and threaten not to come back. That would put him back in his place quickly. When their time was over, Colton stopped at the door and pulled Lucas up against him. He was geeky, in a cute sort of way, he thought to himself as he swallowed his pride and leaned in to kiss him. Lucas’ lips tasted like cherry ChapStick and when he let him go, he just stared up at him in a daze. “I’ll see you later, okay Luke?” When he didn’t answer, Colton tried again. “Lucas?” He waved a hand in front of his face. Lucas snapped out of it, chuckling nervously as he got embarrassed. “Sorry, that was my first kiss.” A grin spread across Colton’s lips. “Yeah? Well, I’m glad I can be your first kiss. Maybe I can be your first everything.” He winked and walked off. “See you later,” he said as he waved over his shoulder. Lucas waved after him, stunned into silence by his words. “Holy s**t!” he said as he closed the door and locked it. “Holy f*****g shit.” The smile was still on his face as he left Lucas’ place and headed toward the subway station. Lawrence had emailed him earlier, saying he had to cancel their date because of a client. He was kind of grateful because he just didn’t know how much more he could do today. He couldn’t wait to get home and drop into bed. He was tired and it would be nice to finally get a little rest. As each date had gone by he had gotten more and more ill, feeling sick to his stomach from all the food and drink he had gorged on. He had to figure out something soon or he wouldn’t be able to stick to this kind of schedule. After his workout in the morning he would head into the office to collect his earnings. Hopefully this was all worth it and he’d be able to pay for his portion of the bills. He didn’t want to think about what would happen if he couldn’t make the money. He’d be homeless and Mason would be furious with him. He didn’t want to think about that right now though. Instead he focused on his c**k, slightly surprised by the fact that it was rock hard and pressed painfully against his body, trapped there by his tight jeans. There was no way he had gotten a hard on by kissing Lucas. No f*****g way at all.
