Lacey woke up in a panic, her heart pounding against her chest like a drumbeat in the silence of the night. She glanced around, the moon's soft glow filtering through the glass dome overhead, casting eerie shadows across the unfamiliar room. It dawned on her with a chilling certainty that she wasn't in her own bed; this wasn't a bad dream—it was all too real. She was supposed to be on a Waffle House date with Noland, but now he was unconscious, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. What had happened to him after he left her apartment? What had caused his sudden collapse? All these rushing thoughts threatened to keep her awake, swirling like a tempest in her mind. Determined to find some solace, Lacey decided to go and check on Noland in the main yurt, hoping to find some answer
