Chapter 10 The tiny, threadbare living room was still distracting. This time, Liam and Becky were sitting side by side. Tasha was, again, the only Morton home. "It's terrible of me," she said, "but I can't stand that hospital room. I mean, we did everything we could to make it feel like home, but I hate seeing my sister surrounded by all those machines." Tasha didn't look at them as she said this fact. “And I need to watch the dog." The excuse was tacked on and Becky nodded. "We aren't judging you or anything,” Liam said. Tasha looked at him with a small smile. Becky had to box on her lap. She almost didn't want to open it.
