Chapter 4 It was a nice, quiet morning. Becky had just gone down to her kitchen, holding her cat close. She placed her cat on the counter, then poured food and water, and then started the coffee maker. She could hear her mother humming in the bathroom, some song Becky barely recognized. She set her coffee on the glass counter of her store and turned on the lights. She liked to keep her store clean and tidy and she thought she could see a layer of dust forming on the counter. She was looked around her quiet little store and placed the mug down. She liked the sleepy Rose Hollow mornings, where the town seemed to move at half its usual pace.
