Matthew      “Correct me if I’ve interpreted this incorrectly, but you just left her there? You’re seriously expecting her to find out what the two of you are by reading a book?”  My skin heated up, the sound of my mother’s irritated smack echoing through the air. I turned to her, fully prepared to voice my distaste in her actions, but found that she was already a great distance away from me, pacing from place to place.
