Chapter 1

TWO YEARS LATER Jayden’s POV It has been two years since I last saw or heard from my baby sis, today she comes home. Mom and Dad have gone all out in inviting her back to the pack after so long. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t help out quite a bit, even with all my Alpha duties, I had to make sure everything would be perfect for my baby sister. “Jayden,” Sarah said. “Callie will be here in an hour, don’t you think you should put on a decent shirt.” She indicated my ratty t-shirt that I wore today while helping to put up the decorations for the party. “Don’t forget you have to pick her up. The airport is far from here.” “I don’t think so, all the she-wolves like this top, shows off my abs. And I still have two hours before I have to leave, her plane gets here at six.” I said, joking about the first part.  Sarah growled and walked as gracefully as a feline to me. “Say something like that again and I will be going to that boarding school that Callie went to. Maybe I will find a decent English male werewolf there. You know how much I love that British accent.” She said and let out a soft moan. It was my turn to be jealous, I growled and pulled her to me. “Don’t you DARE!” I growled and placed a kiss on her forehead. “JAYDEN!” Uncle Caleb screamed. “You might be my daughter’s mate but no intimate contact till she is eighteen.” “Okay Uncle,” I replied and let go of her. Damnit, Sarah only turns eighteen in two years.  Sarah giggled; the sweet sound of her laughter always calmed my wolf and made me feel like the happiest man in the world.  “Love you Jay.” Sarah said then went to the stairs, “I need to put on that skimpy black dress I bought last week. You know that one with the open back that reveals half of my stomach and ends mid-thigh.”  I remembered the dress well, I was with her when she bought it.  The moment I saw it on her I told her to let me buy it for her. All I thought about was how sexy she will look in it and how much sexier she will look when I take it off her, even though it will be another two years till I am allowed to rip that dress off her.  “I wonder how all the other unmated wolves will react to that dress.” She said and squealed when I glared at her for saying that. My mate loved to tease me, but she kept me balanced. I watched as she ran up the stairs, her cherry blonde curls bounced as she ran. I felt like a pedophile  sometimes, I am twenty one and she is sixteen, but she is my mate and I don’t give a damn about what anyone says. She is mine and always will be.  Callie’s POV As the plane landed I had to take several deep breaths to calm myself and my wolf.  You would think that being the daughter of one of if not the most powerful being in the world would make me slightly less immune to air sickness, it really doesn’t.  I got off the plane and went to retrieve my luggage. I arrived a little earlier than expected, so I made my way to the café. The strong aroma of coffee made me moan a little. I needed a good cup of coffee.  It has been two years since I was last home, and now I am not rushing to get home I am taking my time. Delaying the inevitable, I need to face my family and stay as far away as possible from Chase and his pack. I took a sip of my latte and closed my eyes, loving the taste and warmth of it.  I heard someone chuckling behind me. I turned around and saw a man that can only be described as a Greek god. He had golden brown hair and hazel eyes.  “The coffee here must be really good.” He said and pointed to the styrofoam cup in my hands. “It is, I just wish I didn’t have to leave this place.” I replied and took my time studying his facial features; he looked like he was in his early twenties. Please excuse me for saying this, but his chiseled jaw, made me want to shower him with kisses and the sexiness of his voice made me want to take off my clothes and let him have his way with me.  I know I am sounding like a hormonal teen, but I couldn’t help it. Don’t judge, I am no slut. Still a virgin and got the card to prove it.  ”There are plenty of places that sell coffee, I, myself am not too bad at working the coffee machine.” He bragged. I laughed and shook my head. “Okay, so you’re a man that knows how to make a decent cup of  coffee?” I asked just to clarify. ”Yes and my name is Killian.” He said and held out his hand to me. “I am Callie.” Killian raised his eyebrow and a look of recognition crossed his face. “Callie, from the Silver Moon Pack?” “Yes.” I replied slowly and began playing with the rare stone around my neck.  “I am the Alpha of the White Willow Pack, we are a small group.  Your father helped us out last year when we were having some problems with some rogues. He couldn’t stop talking about his children, especially you.” He said.  I giggled a bit, hating the way I sounded. This man was absolutely gorgeous and I was acting like some teen with a crush on a billboard model, which would probably sum up how I was feeling right now.  “I wish I could say I have heard of you before, but that would be a lie.”  He shook his head and then took a seat on the other side of the table. “Okay, then let me introduce myself. My name is Killian Davis, Alpha of the White Willow Pack and I am twenty five years old. What else would you like to know?” “With the way you talking to me, I presume you haven’t met your mate yet. And I would like to know exactly where your pack is, I would also like to know how big your pack is.” I didn’t bother to make it a question, it was a command and I was in full business mode for this. I was the dominant here, even though he was the Alpha.  “I have never met your mother, but I presume you are more like her than your father.” His voice no more held the laughter it did before. “I have no mate; she died in a rogue attack five years ago it happened three days after she rejected me to be with her human fiancé.” I knew he was waiting for my response to that, but I gave him none. Once I was like this, I couldn’t show emotion. It is a weakness that I cannot afford.  “My pack is twenty miles down from the south of your pack’s border. Your father gave my father land nineteen years ago, after my pack had lost a lot of its members and we were taken over and our land was destroyed by the Rogue Alpha. We are a small pack and we have about thirty members.”  Once he was done, I allowed myself to express a little emotion.  “I am sorry for your loss. Why haven’t we met before?” “My pack chose to stay to themselves for a few years, but then we slowly started to allow ourselves the freedom to mingle with other packs, the members in my pack needed to find their mates. This happened round about the time you went to boarding school.” Killian said, his eyes glistened and I felt like giving him a hug. “I am sorry if I seemed a bit rude, Killian. I have been taught to be a warrior. The boarding school is not the only school I attended when I was in Europe.” I said that last part softly, hoping he wouldn’t really be listening to that.  “It is okay, if you want I can give you a ride to your pack. I came here to see my sister off. She is going to China for two years.” Killian said, he looked a bit nervous but I didn’t care. He was cute and I wanted him.  Killian was driving and we were listening to the radio, 'Beneath your Beautiful’ by Labrinth and Emile Sandé started playing. At first I was humming along to the song, and then I just started singing. I love this song.  Killian started singing with and I couldn’t help but smile. He had an amazing voice and I have to admit that we sounded pretty good together. When I boarded the plane, I didn’t expect to meet someone the moment I arrived.  Killian, looked like a Greek god and had a sexy voice, not to mention he was a really good singer.  “You are a really good singer, Callie.” Killian said “Funny, I was just going to say that to you too.” By the time we arrived to the front of the pack house, I just sat there for a few seconds. I turnedto face Killian and leaned in a little. “Thank you for the lift.” I said and began to move closer to him so that I could give him a quick peck on the cheek, but he turned to face me and our lips touched.  I moved away, but when I looked at his lips I knew I wanted more than a peck. It was almost like I needed more. Killian must have been reading my mind, or was thinking the same thing because he leaned in and started kissing me; he nibbled on my bottom lip which made me moan and gave him the opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth. I was moving closer and closer to him, practically sitting on his lap. All of a sudden he stopped and tried to move me back into my seat. “I am sorry Callie, that shouldn’t have happened. I wasn’t thinking.” He apologized. I felt hurt and embarrassed, but I couldn’t let him know that he made me feel that way.  Especially since I didn’t regret the kiss one bit. “It is okay, we both got a little carried away.” I said and reached for the door handle. “Just say we can be friends and I will be fine with it.” Killian sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Callie, the only reason I stopped is because you’re still young and have yet to meet your mate. My wolf wanted me to mark you and that is unacceptable.  I am sorry if I hurt you.” The look in Killian’s eyes told me he truly was sorry. I could have just told him that my mate was a cheating bastard that couldn’t keep his d**k in his pants; hopefully we could get back to kissing then. I just knew that it would be wrong; my whole family knows that Chase Rogan is my mate, and if they see me with Killian now they will think I was the one w*****g around. They don’t know why I left early or about Chase’s extracurricular activities. “You are right, Killian.” I got out of the car and got my luggage out from the back of Killian’s truck. Killian helped me and I thanked him for that. We moved my stuff to the front door or the pack house and said goodbye. I watched Killian drive off and silently wished that I could have gone with him.  It was time to face my family. I sighed and wished that I was anywhere else but here. I swear I even heard my wolf sigh. So many years away from the pack and my family has to see the changes I have been through and my wolf, I have never shifted in front of them before ever since I first shifted when I was sixteen and Chase broke my heart. Though I have a lot to explain, I am not completely a wolf, not anymore.  “Callie!” Let the lies begin.
