I knocked on Mia's cabin door, my heart pounding in anticipation. The door creaked open, and I saw Mia sitting on her bed, a book in her hands. She looked up at me, a smile on her face.
"Ava," she said with her soft and warm voice. "What are you doing here?"
I took a deep breath. "I wanted to ask how you're feeling about the new city we're sailing to. Are you excited?"
Mia's smile grew wider. "Of course I am! I've never been to this city before, and I can't wait to see what it has to offer."
