Luna's POV "Luna, you still haven't told me what happened on the date," Tiana said, eyeing me suspiciously. I sighed, then recounted everything—from the blind date to my latest encounter with Hudson. Her eyes widened. "Oh my God, girl! You're really reassigned to that guy?" I nodded, feeling dejected. "I wish I had better options. The commander assigned me to him." She frowned. "Well, you have to put up with him. You need to get your parents off your back, and this mission requires your focus." I sighed again. "That means I have to prepare for the dinner tonight." Tiana's eyes sparkled. "Wait, you skipped the part about the dinner." I smirked. "I wanted it to be a surprise. Now, Tiana, I'm counting on you to give me the best look you've ever done, am meeting up with his parents ." She grinned. "Oh, I'm gonna do my best. You're gonna look so good, they'll be kissing the ground you walk on." She immediately went to her drawer, pulling out her makeup kit. "My girl isn't playing," I teased, hyping her up. "Go refresh yourself, and I'll start the makeup right after," she instructed. I nodded, heading to the bathroom. The cool water soothed my tense muscles. After freshening up, I returned to find Tiana ready with her makeup tools. A gown was already laid out on my bed. "You picked out a dress already?" I asked, smiling. "Yes, I'll be the one to dress you up, make you up, glam you up," she said, beaming. "You really don't need to do all this," I said softly. "If I don't do it, who else will?" she replied, laughing. I sat down, and she began working her magic. After a while, she stepped back, satisfied. "Okay, now go look in the mirror," she said. I stood up and faced the mirror. My jaw dropped. "Oh my God, I look stunning," I whispered. "Please, you need a better word. You look radiant," she said, pride evident in her voice. "Now, get dressed and get out of here," she added playfully. "You're sending me away from my own house?" I teased. "Call it whatever you want, but you're going on your date with your man's family," she said, making air quotes. "Whatever you say," I replied, chuckling. A few minutes later, dressed and ready, I received a message on my phone: "I'm at your doorstep." "Tiana, Hudson is here," I called out, suddenly nervous. "Go get him, and make sure he worships the ground you walk on," she encouraged. I nodded, taking a deep breath. Heading downstairs, I opened the door to find Hudson looking elegant in his Armani suit. He glanced at me, huffed, and walked away without a word. Not even a compliment. I rolled my eyes. He got into his car and started the engine, waiting. I stood by the window, staring daggers at him. "If you're ready, you can get in," he said flatly. I opened the door and slid into the passenger seat. "You're insufferable," I muttered. "I don't care," he replied. Silence enveloped us as we drove to the family mansion. Upon arrival, assistants helped us out of the car. Maids lined up at the door, ushering us in. Inside, his mother approached with a warm smile. "Oh, my princess, you look stunning," she exclaimed. "Good day, Mrs. Carter. You look beautiful," I replied. "Oh dear, thank you," she said, blushing. "Your age like fine wine," I added, making her blush deeper. Turning to Hudson, she teased, "So, you've been keeping my daughter-in-law away from me." "Erm... er..." Hudson stuttered. "Mrs. Carter, we're not there yet. We're just dating," I intervened. "Oh please, dear, you'll get there soon," she said, causing Hudson to choke. "And besides, you don't need to keep calling me Mrs. Carter. Makes me feel old. Call me Agatha." "Okay, Mrs... Agatha," I responded and she smiled. "Come in, let's have a feast and discuss your relationship," she said, leading us to the dining area. "Now, tell me how you and my son met and how your relationship has been. I love a good love story," she said eagerly.
