To say Cassius was flustered would be an understatement. He looked down with his heart thumping against his chest frantically, as Athan knelt in front of him, chivalrously tying his shoes with a smile. "You should be careful, unless you want to trip and fall little vampy." he chuckled, standing up and dusting his pants, then looking up at Cassius's flushed face. He grinned, his fingers stretching to grab the younger's necktie, fixing it while their eyes remained connected. The brunette couldn't help but let the memories of his wet dream resurface in his mind, remembering how the demon had sucked his 'little guy' just a night before. It felt so realistic, no matter how many times Cassius reminded himself that it was nothing but a random dream. He exhaled, feeling the ravenette retracting his hands and stepping away from him. "How cute, you're blushing." Athan beamed, the brunette fisting his hands in panic. "I'm not-t! That's just the heat!" he stuttered, the demon shrugging and walking out of there nonchalantly, making Cassius follow him without further ado. There were four days left for the ball, and today was the day that Cassius finally came to help with the supervising; as Athan had requested it a few times before. Cassius knew very well that he was practically useless in situations like these, but if it means he could spend some time with the older who he found to be 'cool', he didn't mind losing a bit of his dignity, at all. 'Cool' Yeah, right. Cassius was definitely crushing on Athan. "Do you see the dining table over there little vampy, that's where we're going to celebrate our alliance and drink vodka, us demons and your kind, the vampires." Athan uttered, pointing at the long table which was getting cleaned by the maids, his and Cassius's eyes meeting. The brunette looked away, an awkward hum scurrying past his throat. His cousin and Knights on the other hand, stared at him from the side of the hall in paranoia, afraid that someone would hurt their king. Their eyes were strictly trained on Cassius, glaring at every demon guard who passed by him and keeping their bodies on alert, every time Athan neared Cassius. Though Cassius was annoyed, he guessed that this was pretty normal considering the bad reputation Athan and his kingdom men had, which made him realise.. He shouldn't even be this comfortable with the said demon king, who had received a name for himself as a 'freak.' "Do you plan on bringing a date little vampy?" Athan asked out of nowhere, earning a flustered look from Cassius. "I- uhmm.." the brunette looked up as Athan turned to him again, and held his hand, a big grin making its way towards his pretty face. "If you don't have one, I could be your date you know." the ravenette implied, taking Cassius's hands and staring at the latter with eyes filled with something Cassius was unable to decipher. And when the other's suggestion sank into Cassius's head at last, the brunette felt his heart go boom boom. Literally. "You want-t to-" Cassius swallowed, blushing madly once Athan nodded. The vampire king was pretty sure that he must've been seen as a loser because of the way he acted, but when he realised Athan was ready to be the date of a loser like him, he felt his body shake in overestimation, as exaggerated as it sounds. He went red, his hands clasping Athan's tightly. "Yes please!" he almost yelled, and Athan cooed while looking at him. Cassius felt like he was on cloud nine, stepping away from Athan to run away towards his cousin, who was already watching them with furrowed eyebrows, alongside the rest of the vampire knights. Cassius squeaked and jumped up to Richard, wanting to tell him that he wasn't single anymore. And he was too lost in it to even realise that the 'date' he just scored snorted at him from behind, his expression annoyed. "Dumb bitch." Athan muttered to himself inaudibly, faking a smile as Cassius turned to him again, sending him a flustered wave. And the demon king rolled his eyes when Cassius looked away from him, heaving up a groan and slumping his shoulders, another breath leaving his mouth. "Plan two, check." _____________ _______ It was the day of the ball, and f**k was Cassius excited. He had been counting fingers till the moment comes for him to go to the demon Palace, to finally meets his date whom he was dying to see. "Eeeek, how am I even going to act in front of him? Should I kiss his hand?" Cassius asked his cousin who scoffed at him, already done with his dramatic ass. "Just stay there like the i***t you are, and Athan will do the hand kissing part-" "But I'm the man here!" Cassius crossed his arms, pouting as Richard grumbled under his breath. The older cousin fixed the younger's bow tie before moving away, his hands itching to slap the vampire king in the face. Yet he did nothing but give Cassius a look that screamed, 'Seriously?' while tilting his head. "You know you give off a major amount of bottom energy right Cassius?" Richard dragged his words and twirled his finger, resulting Cassius to huff in irritation. "But when compared to Athan, I'm pretty sure I'm the top." Richard didn't comment on that, snapping his head towards the long sleeved jacket kept on the side. He stood up and pulled it over Cassius's shoulder, who obediently wore it. "I just hope you won't stay this weak forever..." Richard mumbled, his voice faint and Cassius blinked at him. "Huh?" Cassius c****d a brow, wondering what happened to the playful atmosphere. But Richard looked dead serious. "I won't stay here forever, I know I won't stay here forever. And if something happens to me, I don't know what what would happen to you. You still act like a kid although you're twenty." the older whispered, shaking his head. Cassius was quick to hug him close, his body acting on its own accord. "Who said I would let anything happen to you? I'll protect you under any circumstance!" he declared, his palms slapping over Richard's face, who let out a small whine. Cassius believed that what he had said was true, he believed that he would be able to protect the ones he loved no matter what. He KNEW it. Yet by the way Richard's lips were pulled down, it was obvious that the older had something in mind... "I hope you won't trust people who shouldn't be trusted, Cassius." ________________ ____________
