Sebastian gasped, stumbling back as a demon Knight fell to the grown, dead. Blood spurted out of the said demon's body, especially from where a wound had formed after Elenze had stabbed him in the heart, making the white haired angel take a deep breath.
"Come on Sebastian, if you want to go home any soon, we gotta get out of here quick." Elenze spoke, wiping the blood belonging to the person he just killed, out of his face. He turned to his sidekick, quirking an eyebrow once he realised how much Sebastian was shaking.
"What's wrong?" he tilted his head to the side, seeing Sebastian nodding timidly.
"I was just.. Surprised, I guess. Didn't expect you to kill someone right now, pretty much out of the blue."
"You make it sound like killing isn't normal these days." the blonde uttered, walking away as Sebastian followed him with messy steps.
"But why should killing be considered normal?" the pallid haired angel started, "No one deserves to die like... That.." he turned to the gore sight of the dead demon Knight, whose body was bloodied and chopped into pieces. He winced.
Elenze groaned, "Just shut up and follow me like you're supposed to, you're getting annoying with the ted talk."
Sebastian looked down, not talking back.
"And plus, it's not like we could just let him be and escape, considering he would probably report us to the rest of the demons in a matter of time. So no, I'm not in the mood to get killed." the archangel added, stopping midway and punching another guard who appeared into the hallway, and the victim fell down unconscious.
Elenze let out a breath, looking through the embrasure to be greeted with the view of a dark night. The young angel's eyes closed for a bit as a stressed sigh seeped out of him, he felt how Sebastian shifted awkwardly behind him, and he turned to reconnect their eyes.
"We can't use the tunnel at night, it'll be too dark," Elenze expressed, referring to the underground tunnel they had used to sneak into the demon Palace earlier today. But it was obvious that using it at a time like this, where there's zero to no light that would fall through the cracks- would lead them to something called 'death', for sure. Elenze couldn't even count the number of possibilities for certain absurd things to happen. First of all, they might slip and fall into the waste water running either side of it, or they might even get themselves killed by the hands of some demon, considering demons can fight in the dark although angels can't.
Elenze knew he had to find a different way out, a safer way.. Yet there's was none..
Unless they spend the night in the demon castle without getting murdered and escape just when sun rises of course.. No wait, that sounds stupid as the demons would start searching for the people who poisoned the alcohol in no time, depending on the time they realise the drinks are filled with a fatal drug.
Yet Elenze's eyes suddenly spiked up, his lips curving up abruptly.
"How about.." the blonde held Sebastian's shoulder, "We do something crazy?"
The other man blinked at him.
"What are you implying?" Sebastian queried, dumbfounded of the unreadable expression Elenze had on his face. The person in question did nothing but smile at him 'endearingly' while pointing at the top-notch upper floor. The other angel felt weird, slowly understanding what his partner in crime was talking about.
"What if we climb down the parapet?"
Sebastian's moth curved down and he started to sweat.
Oh no.

"You can get off me now, love."
Cassius inwardly screamed and moved away from Athan, who was previously trying to push the former away by placing his palms flat over his chest. If Cassius were embarrassed at some point, then there were no words to express the sheer amount of humiliation he felt when he saw how Richard was staring at them, with a giant smirk.
The brunette looked away when Athan struggled to stand up, the demon then casted the other guests an apologetic look.
"Sorry about that, he gets a little wild sometimes." the ravenette giggled, his thumb pointing the vampire king who was almost about to pee in his pants.
Cassius's ears went red and his jaw slacked wide open, 'What the f**k no-' he wanted to tell, but nothing left his mouth except for the annoyingly high-pitched screech, which would equate to his actual voice at this point. Athan smiled at him and again placed his wandering hand over his thigh, and this time, Cassius slapped it away without even bothering to remain his 'not-so-rude' demeanour.
Now, Cassius wanted nothing but to spend the night in peace to save his dignity-
But f**k it, he had already lost that s**t from the day of his birth, so he stood up abruptly, did a small 'hmph!' and walked out of there- yeah, he literally did that.
He didn't care if the rest of the others would drink that alcohol and die or whatever, since he had nothing to worry about anymore. His people aren't dumb enough to drink in the middle of the demon castle, and they were possibly on guard. Most importantly, Cassius knew for a fact that Richard doesn't drink, not at all.
So he walked out of there, groaning as he heard the footsteps echoing behind him.
"Leave me alone Athan." he groaned when the said man forcefully linked their arms and leaned to him, acting as if they were a married couple of 10+ year history.
"Why are you sooo moody today little vampy? You even forgot your date!" the demon fake pouted, letting out a whining noise that had Cassius wanting to throw up. He was beyond done- probably disgusted as he reminded himself bitterly how Athan had treated him a few hours ago.
Forgetting your date huh? Athan was surely the one to talk, after ignoring him for more than half of the day, leading him on and what else? If Cassius had forgotten about his 'date', then the said man didn't even know what words he should use to describe the things Athan did.
And now, Cassius didn't want to be under the spell of Athan's pretty face anymore.
The only thing he wanted now was to know who that blonde man is, and what's his purpose. Cause that person looked suspicious, familiar but most importantly...
He seemed like a threat.
"Are you looking for someone darling? Someone other than me?" Athan held Cassius's shoulders to stop him, grinning once the brunette scowled at him. Cassius wondered why Athan couldn't get the hint that he was annoyed, it was frustrating really.. Since the vampire was dying to see that blonde again, which deems him out of the mood to deal with a horny little demon king.
And he also couldn't help but compare that guy to Athan who was much worse and very nerve-wracking. But then again, that guy was also kinda annoying, so Cassius ended up making it a tie, in his head.
"Athan look, I met someone. And I'm trying to find them again." he voiced out, not specifying a gender for... Safety purposes. Athan's grin vanished as he showed his fake pout again.
And hell was Cassius annoyed.
"Just tell me what you want, I'll give it to you- but you have to leave me alone after."
"That sounds fair," Athan said and pretended to be thinking, he then snapped his fingers with his face nearing Cassius, who backed away immediately. "And I definitely know what I want." he beamed.
"What-" Cassius didn't get to finish when Athan told,
"A kiss, I want a kiss." Athan looked down, smiling to himself, ".. On the lips."
Cassius blinked at him and groaned, he actually expected something like this because what else would Athan request for, unless it's something related to s****l contact? The vampire was almost starting to think that the older may or may not be a succubus, but for now..
He took a deep breath, knowing he had to fulfill his part of the deal if he wants to get Athan out of the way- which was something he needed so desperately, therefore he didn't question anything else any further and pushed the ravenette against the dimly lit hallway to connect their lips once and for all.
Before even a second passed, Cassius tried to pull away but Athan didn't let him do so, and reached to grab his collar, only to start kissing him harder.
A tingling fire surged through Cassius's body when Athan grabbed his waist, and he gasped into the kiss as their tongues touched. In a blink of an eye, their positions were switched and Athan had him slammed on the wall, his arms pinned over his head.
Just like how that demon had kissed Athan, caressed his sides, lifted him off the ground and carried him to a room..
Cassius felt his stomach churning at the thoughts and he pulled away, making Athan think that his time was over. But it didn't go like that, since he was pulled into another breathtaking kiss, this time him being the one who had his back in contact with the castle walls.
The demon king grinned against the kiss, daring to move his hands lower and to the back of Cassius's body, but the brunette didn't let him and pulled out of the kiss, wiped the drool that ran down his face and looked at Athan in pure disgust.
"Now leave me the f**k alone." he snapped and turned away, internally wondering where this boost of confidence came from but he didn't turn back, afraid to meet Athan's eyes who he guessed must be saddened by the tone that was used on him, by the angered King of the vampires.
But oh hell was he wrong.
Cause the same Athan was the one who bursted into a fit of laughters after Cassius was out of sight, holding the wall for support as the situation iriked him that much to the point where he was struggling to breathe.
The ravenette rubbed his already swollen lips and smirked.
"You're so damn easy and predictable, just like him." he clicked his tongue and shook his head in mock disappointment, throwing his head back as another laugh scurried past his lips.
They might've thought they've won but that was so damn wrong.
Maybe they had for a while, but now..
Demons were definitely a step ahead of them.

"Elenze.." Sebastian gulped, staring at the way people were leisurely drinking and eating in the floor under them, with no problem at all.
"Why isn't the poison affecting them?"
Elenze stared, his body shaking and eyes burning with rage.
"Darn it."
