Nothing felt right. Cassius sighed at the sound of the drinks clanking as he stared at Athan, who was sitting next to him; yet was too busy whispering things with the demon beside himself to even notice Cassius's presence. The vampire king felt sad to say the least, he thought that Athan would be his date and even though the other was his date, he wasn't actually treated like one. Richard held Cassius's hand with a sad smile, sending a death glare towards Athan who was flat on ignoring every vampire in the area. "Okay gentlemen and ladies, I suppose you are enjoying your stay here, so please excuse me for a minute as I have an urgent business to attend to." Cassius's eyes shot up once he heard Athan's voice, yet his face dimmed immediately after he had noticed how Athan was hand in hand with some demon, who seemed to be his actual date unlike Cassius.  And the said demon looked at Cassius teasingly, probably understanding how the vampire king was raging in jealousy.  Athan gave Cassius a salute before he was dragged away from the room as Cassius continued to stare, wondering if that was the first time Athan hadn't ignored him in the span of these never ending hours at the ball.  Cassius hated how sophisticated the environment is, and he also hated how Athan wasn't giving him the attention he was yearning for.  He never knew he would be desperate for someone to this extent.  Definitely not for someone like Athan.  "Uhmm.. I'm going to the bathroom." he muttered shamelessly and stood up, earning bewildered looks from the other guests, comprised of noble demons and vampires.  Richard just stared with his jaw clenched, feeling bad for Cassius but he made no effort to leave his place, knowing Cassius must be needing some fresh air.  And that's the truth, Cassius needed space.  He left the packed hall while ignoring everyone around him, trying to remember which path Athan took. He had to find the demon king, he just wanted to meet the latter and talk to him, at least hear his sweet voice.  Cassius looked around the hallway, seeing a statue of an armored Knight placed at the side. He felt like he saw it move, but he didn't think about it any further; blaming on his mind that wasn't very focused at the moment.  Plus, it's not like a statue can move anyway.. Unless..  "You know you're very handsome right?"  Cassius stopped in his tracks, hearing Athan's voice that was sultry, almost sounded like he was out of breath. Cassius looked around to spot the demon king he was dying to see, ignoring the rapid pace his heat was beating at.  Then he heard the sound of a small moan, followed by kissing sounds that had him feeling weird.  "Athan?" Cassius's voice murmured softly, spinning around to find Athan, desperation taking the best of him.  "Athan.." he whispered once again, pausing once he saw the silhouette of two people standing so close to each other, to the point where Cassius wondered if they were doing something out of place.  His lips parted, almost about to question them if they had seen Athan, but before he could do so, his vision sharpened and he saw something he had never wanted to see.  It was Athan, pinned to the wall by that man from before, and they were kissing hard; the small whimpers leaving Athan's mouth making Cassius's hands shake.  He watched, his face morphing into nothing.  And his jaw clenched when he saw the way the demon king curled his arms around the man's neck, drawing him in for more access. And Athan's small frame was hidden beneath that man's taller and larger one, as Cassius took in a deep breath.  He watched the way Athan was dragged into a nearby room by the arm and the door was slammed close, Cassius's eyes losing their spark completely.  "Fuck.." he muttered under his breath, unable to take in what had happened, his mind shaken to the core. His slow steps took him towards the door where obnoxious sounds were starting to pour out, and it made him feel like he was thrashed down into nobody.  Athan was pretty.. Loud. Or maybe the demon he took to his bed, was that good at s*x.  Cassius let out a feathery breath, his eyes brimming with tears as he faced his back against the door of that room where that guy must be doing things to Athan which he didn't want to think about, and closed his eyes.  His mind was then taken over harsh thoughts, as if on cue.  So wasn't Athan.. interested in him at all?  Cassius cried.  Was it because he wasn't tall? Or was it because he wasn't muscular, attractive or maybe because Cassius didn't have an interesting personality?  D-did Cassius seem.. Bland to him?  The red eyed male sobbed, squatting as his body slid down, his hands clutching his face which was drowned in tears.  He couldn't believe he was dumb enough to think that someone like Athan, would even like him that way. He was such an i***t, a blood sucking i***t.  "Stop crying for someone like him."  Cassius looked up, forehead crinkling when he saw the same armored statue from before, standing in front of him.  His eyes went wide, his mouth hanging to let out a scream.  "I swear to god, don't even think about screaming unless you want to get hit in the head." the statue sighed, taking his helmet off, revealing the head of a blonde guy with stormy blue eyes.  The said male looked at Cassius, one of his eyebrows perking up as the vampire king stared at him with a dumbfounded expression. The blonde man sighed again, running his hands through his sweaty hair.  "Stop staring you bloody i***t, what do you think I am? An unicorn here to sprinkle you with candies?" he uttered and leaned down, eyes raking over the tear smitten face of Cassius.  The blonde then stepped away, a significant groan scurrying past his mouth as he cast Cassius a look of disappointment.  "Did he make you cry?" he questioned, and although Cassius had expected him to ask that in pity, the blonde man in question seemed anything but. His voice was laced with blunt mockery, his lips were slowly curving up; as if to make fun of Cassius.  The red eyed male smacked his own face like an i***t, then blinked at the blue eyed boy who was looking startled by his weird stunt.  "I'm such an idiot." the brunette finally spoke, and the mysterious guy cracked up a grin at that.  "No poop, Sherlock." he croaked out, rolling his eyes but ending up cackling. His eyes were dreaded with amusement, his gloved hands residing over his hips.  Cassius squinted his eyes at him, taking in how beautiful this man was. He wasn't big, not even lean and had a boyish appearance, hair falling as bangs and sticking on his forehead because of the sweat. His skin was light, but then again had a hint of sunburn, and to Cassius, he looked like a doll out of someone's imagination.  Not to mention, Cassius found him a bit familiar looking too. But the thought was shrugged aside, just as it came.  "Stand up, as I've said earlier, do NOT cry for someone filthy like him." the blonde pointed at the door and grabbed Cassius's hand, making the said boy squeak when he was pulled up to his feet.  And Cassius chose to ignore the loud moans coming from the room.  The brunette vampire breathed in a baffled look as the unknown man dragged him away from there, the sound of their boots clicking resonating through the empty corridor. Cassius wasn't the one to initiate anything, and he was never the person to suspect anyone given his oblivious personality.  So he did nothing but walk behind the other, his eyes focused on the blonde's back.  This man was gorgeous.  But Cassius didn't find him interesting, basically said, pretty little brats aren't his type. No matter how much he hated to admit this, Cassius liked the flirty type.  "Look." the blonde stopped after their feet brought them towards the balcony. Cassius remained wordless, staring at the night sky where stars were glimmering, he then felt the way the other male unhooked the grip he had on his wrist before crossing his arms.  "Compare the moon to the stars, would it even matter if the stars were here or not as long as the moon is there? No right, cause compared to the moon, those stars are irrelevant." the blonde scoffed as Cassius looked at him carefully. "That doesn't-" the brunette tried to say, but the other just flat on cut him off. "But when there's no moon, the stars become relevant. That's when people start to notice the small lights that had been watching them all along." the man tsked, his eyes interlocking with Cassius. "Those people forget about the stars when there's the moon. Just like you, who's crying for someone that's not worth it. Pathetic." he added, his voice laced with enormous distaste. Cassius's hands clenched into fists, wondering why the other was so rude, although it hasn't been a minute since they met. "Stupid people like you, always fall for the shiny gold and forget about what's actually priceless, your status-"  "That's not true," Cassius interrupted, holding the other's shoulder as he spoke. "Status isn't priceless, it's not the thing that matters."  "Bloody idiot." the man scoffed, shrugging Cassius's hand away.  "What matters is that we enjoy our life in the way we want, others shouldn't matter. It should be you, who you're trying to impress." he declared and Cassius grumbled under his breath, getting annoyed.  Was it weird that Cassius was dying to strangle this guy to death?  But he stayed silent, watching as the blonde suddenly widened his eyes and swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbing harshly.  "I need to go." he inquired, unhooking the tasset and tossing it aside, the sound making Cassius wince. He watched as the blonde kicked his greaves off, letting out a 'phew' once he was free of the armor.  He had sweat a lot, and he drew his hands down the plain white dress shirt he wore, that was drenched in sweat. The metal wear fell down his body, his somewhat tight pants highlighting how skinny he was.  Cassius stared, eyebrows furrowed.  "What are you doing?" he questioned as he saw how the man tucked in his shirt rather messily before whisking his head towards him, his eyes falling on the bow tie Cassius was wearing.  And the blonde grinned. "You wouldn't mind if I take this right?" he tried to pull the bow over Cassius's head, and Cassius complied without any ado. The blonde then pulled it down his own neck, his eyes crinkling in amusement.  "I have to leave now, hope to see you again Jonathan."  "That's not my name." Cassius groaned and the man smiled.  "I know, and I don't care." he uttered before turning to his heels, waving as he tried to walk away from there. Yet his shouldered rose suddenly, and he turned up to Cassius again with his lips pursed.  "You aren't that bad, so I'll give you one last advice." the blue eyed male mumbled, slanting towards Cassius and nearing the latter's ear. Cassius felt his chest tighten, staying there frozen on the ground when the man closed the gap between them.  "Don't drink the alcohol."  And with that warning, the blonde man was out of sight. Cassius stood there in confusion, wondering what just happened.  "Don't drink the alcohol?" he asked himself, looking at the hallway where the man had left.  "But why?"  ____________ _______ "Yah, let go. I have people to meet."  Athan struggled to get out of the demon's hold, who had his muscular arms wrapped around his waist while biting the skin beneath his hips, he groaned and stopped struggling, letting the man pull him to the bed; again.  He parted his mouth to speak, his eyes snapping towards the door once a loud knock was heard.  "Uhmm... Who's there?" he asked as the demon latched up his lips on his neck, then tilted his head to make it easier for the other to mark his skin. He felt the harsh grip over his hips as he threaded his fingers through the demon's hair.  But there was no response.  Athan sighed, pulling the demon by his hair and yanking his face away from his neck to get off. The ravenette then pulled a robe over his shoulder and took the door knob in his hand, his body all red with handprints and hickeys, while glistening in sweat.  His hair was tousled, his back was aching, and he had a thick scowl on his face as he pushed the door open, revealing no one.  "Can we go back to what we were doing?"  Athan ignored the guy and bent down, seeing a piece of paper lying on the floor and he picked it up, his face morphed into confusion.  It was a note, and Athan read it out aloud.  "We've met again, beelzebub?" Athan whispered, looking around the empty hallway perplexed, and he looked at the note again. His eyes squinted at the sight of the familiar looking handwriting, and once the nickname started to sink into him, Athan felt his throat going dry.  "What is it?" the demon who was lying on the bed lolled out lazily as Athan hit the frame of the door in rage, his eyes running everywhere.  "Come back here, you little b***h!!" he growled at particularly nobody and he looked at the note again before ripping it into shreds. His shoulders shook in sheer anger, and his eyes gleamed with rage.  "I f*****g warn you, if you don't come out, I'm going to kill you." he walked out of the room, taking a deep breath.  "Archangel Elenze."  ________________ __________
