Sera opened her eyes. She couldn't move.
It took her a few seconds to realize it was because she was chained to the wall of the diner. Before her, stood Lonny and Zane. Both holding wicked looking weapons. Though it was all backwards…Zane was the one with the sword, while Lonny wielded the twin knives.
Sera pulled against her restraints but they didn't budge. She attempted to cry out, but she had no voice. She viciously rattled the chains but they remained firmly in place. She watched helplessly as the two men started towards one another. There was a moment's pause.
