In an inky black room shrouded in silence, both of us lay wide awake, enveloped by profound thoughts and heightened senses. Stifling the urge to speak, I sluggishly extended my arm towards the cool, metallic surface of my phone resting on the bedside table. Tormented by our shared insomnia and driven by burning sensations, I succumbed to the urge and checked the time.
