Nevada stood there with her mouth open. At that moment, I didn't know what to expect from her. Slowly, her shocked expression turned into a huge smile. “Marie! Honey, this is great news!” Now I was the one shocked. “Nevada, your twins are my mates. The ones who hate me. Remember?” I said again, unsure if she heard me correctly the first time. “I heard you and don't worry. They won't reject you. I will not stand for it.” I gave her a meek smile. “That is not your decision, Nevada. It's theirs, and going off the way they’ve always treated me, it's obvious I am going to be rejected.”
