Chapter 11 The Note

When I wake up I am wrapped in Jace’s strong arms. I try to look at my clock but Jace tightens his arms.
“No.” Jace says with sleep thick in his voice
“Why?”
“I want to lay here for a little bit longer.” We lay for 5 more minutes until I say
“We are gonna be late if we don't get up.”
“Fine.” He lets go of me and I get up and go into my closet and grab a pair of shorts and a green tank top. I walk into the bathroom and strip my clothes to get in the shower. After my shower I get dressed and brush my hair. Then I walk out and Jace's hair is damp and he is sitting in my window bench playing on his phone.
“Ready or are you to caught up in your game to go?” I say sarcastically. He gets up and walks over to me hugging me. He puts his face in my neck and takes a deep breath. Then he starts tickling me and I try to pull out of his grasp but I can’t.
“Uncle. Uncle.” I cry with laughter. After a few minutes he stops ticking and I have tear streaks down my face from laughing so hard.

When me and Jace get to school Flora and Brody are waiting by my locker.
“Why are you guys here so late?” Flora asks
“Someone didn’t want to get out of bed this morning.” I laugh.
*Well maybe I wanted to f**k you.* My face turned red when he said this and I looked at him and smacked him on the arm.
“f**k you.” I growled.
*You know I would.* he said with a smirk. I just turned and walked towards our class room and Flora yells.
“You know he would.” I blush even harder and turn around and growl at all of them. Flora and Brody’s faces turn white and they both look down. When I look over to Jace he is walking towards me. When he gets to me he says
“Hey. Hey calm down.”
“Okay. I am try.”
“Take few deep breaths.”
“Okay.” I take a deep breath and another one and I start to calm down a little bit.
“Are you okay enough to go to class?”
“Yeah I think so.”
“Your eyes are still glowing. But unless you wanna make out in the halls then they are gonna stay that way.”
“Yeah I think they will have to stay that way.” Before he can say anything the warning bell rings.
“Let’s get to class.”
“Yeah.” We start walking to class, right when we get into class the bell rings.
The class is as boring as boring can be, what do you expect it’s a biology class.
Jace
River looks over at me and class and with her piercing green eyes she growled at me, lowly.
*What.*
*Stop looking so good.*
*Never.* I smirked. A throat cleared and said
“Are you guys done talking yet so I can continue?”
“Yeah we both answer.” Flora is giggling and Brody is laughing his ass off. I look over to my mate and her face is red and I can feel my face heat up too.

The teacher just caught me and Jace talking through our mind link. I look over to Flora is giggling and Brody is laughing his ass off. I grab my phone and text Flora.
Bitch, why didn’t you tell me he was coming over?
Because I wanted to see what he was gonna do, you guys were just making weird faces as if you two were talking out loud.
You could have still told me.

I roll my eyes just looking at the text messages and put my phone in my pocket and huff.

*Fine I got mad at Flora for not telling me that the teacher was coming over.*

When we finally get out of class, and I walk over to my locker when it feels like someone is staring at me. I turn around and I don’t see anyone looking at me so I turn around and get my stuff. I don’t know how to close off the mental connection but I read in a book that if you imagine a wall in between our minds so that what I do.
“Hey.” I turn around fast and see its just Jace
“s**t. You scared me.”
“Sorry.”
“It’s fine.”
“Ready to go?”
“Yeah lets go.” I grab Jace’s hand and practically drag him out of the school
“What’s got you in such a hurry. And why did you cut off our mental connection.”
“I feel like someone is watching me. And I didn’t want you to worry.”
“I can worry all I want about you. Let’s get home.” When we get to his car there's a note on it. He picks it up and starts reading, after a second he lets out a low growl.
“What? Let me see it.” He hands it over it says.
She is mine. Either I have her or no one does.
I look over to Jace and his eyes are glowing and his canines are out. I immediately grab him and hug him. After a few seconds he relaxes and buries his head in my neck taking a deep breath.
When we get back to my house he storms in, with me in his embrace. When he gets to the kitchen he hands my father the note. When my father reads it he growls and says
“Our pack will be coming soon to help keep her safe.”
“Okay. Anything else Alpha?”
“Take her to her room and stay there with her.”
“Yes Alpha.” When we get to my room Jace starts pacing.
“Jace its okay. I’m not gonna be taken.”
“You could be.”
“Well I’m not right now so come and do your homework.”
“Fine.” He growls. After we finish our homework we lay down and sleep.
