Chapter50

1114 Words

Ava's POV A stranger's help Tears flowed down my cheeks like an uncontrollable river, and I couldn't hold them back any longer. The anguish that had welled up inside me threatened to drown my senses. I wanted to cry, to be angry, to scream at the injustice of it all, but the weight of it pressed down on me, rendering me helpless. Before I could face my father and the storm I knew would follow, I needed a moment to let it all out. I found solace by a fountain in a quiet corner of the Gothic Moon Pack's territory. Sitting on the edge of the stone basin, I let myself cry. The tears were an agonising release, and I wished that they could wash away the pain of betrayal. As I sniffled and wiped my eyes, a stranger approached. I didn't notice his presence until he was almost beside me.
