Lyra's POV. I shouldn't be here. Yet I stood frozen in the dimly lit room, the air thick with the scent of incense and something more ancient, more powerful. My heart was beating so fast in fear, I clenched my fists as my eyes moved around the room. The artefacts dedicated to the Dawn Goddess surrounded me, their strange symbols and their deep designs casting eerie shadows on the walls. It was as if another presence was there inside the room. My heart pounded as the footsteps grew louder. I turned and moved to hide. But there was nowhere to go. The door creaked open, and I was surprised by who walked in.
