It was a bright morning. The sun is high, bright, beautiful if you ask me. I skipped through town until I was before the black gates of Soontol town. It was the place where Kai had paired with a girl named Noi for training. She had been honing my mind-reading capabilities for the last three weeks and was eager to show her my progress.
Not just that, the darkness had seemed to go beneath me. Hiding. Which was good. I didn't have to worry about that.
