Ava's POV I woke up to a sight that made me gasp in disbelief. My night clothes were covered in dirt, and leaves were tangled up in my hair. My arms had scratches on them, my fingers had sand all over them. I looked disheveled, as if I had been dragged along the forest floor. It was a dream. I was asleep. I fell asleep in this bed. I couldn't remember how I got to that forest, and it felt like I had just woken up from a nightmare. But this was real, and the fear that gripped me was too real.
